What do you recommend for renown training?

I always advocate for defense first, whether that's avoidance and/or crit reduction, then you can put on crit.

You want to aim for ~1000 BS then get the rest in Weapon Skill. You also have to decide if you're using a BS or Toughness Pot (or Crit Liniment with BS; which was traditionally the best for Scout but harder to attain here in RoR).

I have a question about the tactic merciless soldier.

The ROR builder on internet says : "Exploit Weakness, Grim Slash, Brutal Assault, Sweeping Slash, Opportunistic Strike, and Counterstrike deal +50% Critical Damage // Draw Blood and Swift Strikes have a +25% Critical hit chance."

In game, the mastery tree says : "Reduce by 35% the AP cost for all Assault ability."

Which tooltip is true ?

I never really played a SW to that extend, but from seeing that guide I allmost want to!
This is a very well thought and eye pleasing guide I have to say!

In the end I chose the SwordMaster with shield.
Maybe you can make a guide for that class too? :=)

Hi there. The tooltip outlined in the wiki is correct. Devs can't change some of that stuff in game without client control, which is why it's not shown in the mastery in game.
