Grace WP (and whole correlation between all 3 paths) need some love and closer look. For now this build is composed from different puzzles that were implemented in different stages of AoR development and do not match one to another because past developers did not care to fix the melee healing issue. What is more, RoR changes to proc meta, CW/RD (which strikes melee wp/dok much harder than other balanced classes), gear set balance, last controversial changes to ss indirectly limited what was left (i do not count ab.mode). In last year only Wrath tree recived some minor buffs but it not changed the picture.
I agree that WP, and DoK as a whole need the most love. They need a rework of their trees/mechanic and thats def not easy.

- Set mount dismount event chance to direct damage received instead of on attack.

...
Afaik it was previously set "on damage" because even dot ticks caused dismount, not "on attack ".
Is there no way currently to make it "on hit" like it was on live?
1. you were wrong, it was "on attack" which is why post DOT changes it caused the dismount, I know this was the case due it being what I changed....
2. It now behaves as it did prior with the exception of defending no longer having a chance to dismount.
This is confusing for me because the only notable effects after the dot changes were dismount on dot ticks and dismount despite avoiding the initial attack or dot tick.

Following your explanation leads to situations like:

1. dealing direct damage to target -> chance to dismount
2. avoiding direct damage -> no dismount

3. application of a dot on target -> no dismount (this is wrong, because dot application caused dismount on live)

4. dot ticks, which deal damage to target -> no dismount
5. avoided dot ticks -> no dismount

The issue is that dots are indirect damage, which couldn't cause dismount with your ruleset.
This is why using "on hit" or "on damage" conditions for dismount rules are wrong.
"On successful attack" would be the correct condition, because is is valid for direct damage abilities and initial dot application.
Dying is no option.

@ Hotfix of Sigmar's Shield:

Thank you for not just destroying the skill by hotfixing the bug (effect not breaking off at 0 RF).

A simple bugfix of that issue would have made SS completely worthless, just as it was on live servers. I'm glad you combined this with additional changes, trying to fix some key issues. 20 RF drained per hit was way too much. 10 RF drained per hit sounds more reasonable. Given how ultra-fast my RF pool got depleted in pvp fights with the 20 RF version, I have little confidence in the 10 RF version, but that needs some playtesting first.

The reduced buff duration is fine with me. I don't want Sigmar's Shield as a permanent (self) buff, which would be used on every cooldown as precautionary measure, but as a on-demand healing skill.

As a final note:
I liked the old "experimental" version of Sigmar's Shield very much, because it was a situational healing skill which required some brain to use it at maximum effect. It was worthless on a soft target who is getting two-shot, but was really good on a defensive target under heavy pressure. You always had to decide whether its better to use Divine Assault or Sigmar's Shield.

PS: I'm playing my Warrior Priest as grace-spec melee healer.

The change to dismount makes the lower tiers a right trollfest. I can ride straight upto a dot class and they cant do anything about it. Riding down bw on my mara is hilarious as they are running trying to dot me. I certainly wasnt like this on live.

Gosh and another dps am....

and neither was it dismount on every dot tick which we had for a couple of months that just ended, I dont recall you complaining about it then....
Havent played am in about 6 months. I agree that every dot tick stopping mount was wrong, mainly due how annoying it was after you killed an engie and still cant mount for 20s. Now though I can ride certain classes down and they cant do anything unless they are a certain lvl. If you do blow a cc cd its gg as I'll still have charge.

Why you try to misunderstand us, at least it feels like it. It is not about dps am, it is about any class.
You fixed dismount on dot ticks and this was right. This is how it was on live as well and it worked well for all classes.
What doesn't work here and what is wrong is dismount on dot application.

Torquemadra wrote: Yet the "complaints" have come from two DPS AMs, both of which benefited hugely from the system we had the day before yesterday when mounting would break on every dot tick and STILL you personally raising the issue was ominously absent, how odd....
Ill say again. I havent played an AM in 6 months and I really dont intend to anytime soon. Playing choppa and marauder both of which have benefited, sorc which suffers, particularly at the lower level I am at, and SH which with a cast on move dd can still dismount without issue. I just have found it a tad unfair that I can just ride down some classes while some this has hardly affected.

90% of people play all classes.

I guess I will just hope the reason to remove benefits that dots might have, removing detaunt and forcing double disrupt checks, is part of a plan to give them some of the benefits that dd have. Then maybe I wont have to shelve classes.
