The same build and tactic set that basically every choppa uses causes nothing else is viabe

Once you can hit the str soft cap of 1050 str, drop brute force for flanking

You know back on live both jagged edge and riposte were legit tactics options for choppa and slayer because their damage scaled with beserk/rage levels

It dosnt work like that here in ror...because reasons

Chopmaster doesn't post much, I'll ask him in discord to weigh in if he is amenable. Frankly I use mine as a Tali maker/mule.

Squid - Squig Squit - B.O.

My main is Slayer snd I run a giantslayer spec, really enjoyable,

Rolled a choppa for a dessie mdps the same time so I could enjoy both factions
A month later, my Slayer is r40rr40 and I'm running around as a Mara on dessie side.

Choppa needs some work to ne level with Mara/wl/slayer.

Jagged edge does, atleast the last time i tested it. Dunno about riposte.

I have played this and this in the past couple of months. Worked pretty good, especially Bleed em out works better now since the damage now scales up as your rage builds.

I never like the whole rng snare with wots da rush ability

It exhausts your rage but has poor damage, additionally it has no consistency on snare value, if you wan to aoe snare for up to 40% big brawlin or Wave of scorn is better

venrik wrote:ah comeon. Play WE and then talk about being gimped in group. And not seen a double slayer group running here recently. Seen plenty of WL/Sl groups running scs and roam groups. Was a lot more double slayer on live though, due to ID, shatter limbs. Chop/mara is a good combi. Is it the best? maybe not. But you dont have to buff chop to achieve that. You have to look at all the other dps out there
played one and tanked for one and for wh too, and if u think they are gimped in a grp you need to revaluate kinda fast. biggest burst of destru , tank busting abilitys (garanted only work agaisnt pugs but sometimes is needed) they can perma stagger healers or any target(i hopefully thik they nerf it because is ridic op but well). both hds ,

where the hell is we gimped in grp? maybe in wb but no in 6 man .
Because not many groups can run double slayer , u need kinda good players to run it , still the few wich run it usualy beat the hell of most destro prems .

i do look at all others mdps because i actualy do played em all in ror , not on live but on ror ,

You choppas shold start making balance proposals on the balance subforums if you want your class to get some love. We all know that Choppa is currently just a weaker Marauder but nothing will be done about it until you start proposing changes through the balance forums.

This. People making comments here and there don't get much attention, we need to go through the process for Approval/Denial.

Here are the last Choppa Proposals (last 12 months), as a reference - in case something you would like to propose has already been declined for the same reasons (feel free to make proposals on the same skills for different reasons):

Keep on Choppin': viewtopic.php?f=97&t=23223
Drop Da Basha: viewtopic.php?f=97&t=23588
Bring it On: viewtopic.php?f=97&t=21508
Chop Fasta: viewtopic.php?f=97&t=21447
Keep on Choppin': viewtopic.php?f=97&t=18662

Please make sure any proposals on any of the above skills are reviewed in those respective threads to avoid a duplicate post. If your proposal is different, feel free to make.

I am still leveling my Choppa, so I won't be making any proposals until 40/40. But there are definitely some skills that I feel could be reworked to put them on par with other mDPS options (at the current time - subject to change at 40/40).
