CLass advice =)

Heyo!

After downloading and trying to install the game 4 times during the last month i finally got it working haha..

So been looking around and trying to figure out what class to play... I have limited playtime so I pretty much always play solo..

I like the brawling gameplay, usually in other games i end up with a character who can stand on his own, by self heals or other survival utilities , so i can be usefull in both RvR and solo runs.. Oh and im a pvper, =))

Remember when i played last time i had 3 characters i swiched between and it was WE DoK and BG...

So anyone got some nice advice for a noob? =) I always play melee characters since i never enjoyed the ranged gameplay (atm playing a SW just to check it out and see if it has melee potential or not , ofc you can only see that at endgame but wanted to try it out for fun ) =)

Cheers

if solo just make an ironbreaker, but gotta be brutally honest and say you're gonna miss out a lot on the fun if you play alone.

sounds like you are describing Blackguard / iron breaker to be honest

Good Melee solo play

WE/WH (stealth / gank... squishy, not so much brawling more burst) more roam orvr (pug sc's on mdps can be rough at times, no guard lack of heals etc)

Blackguard/Ironbreaker more brawling / self heals longer lasting... (Pick a side order or destro, dwarf vs elf... SNB or two hander is both viable check out threads on those classes for more advice)

Yeah will have a look... Wait, Wam from TUP in GW2 ?

I will try BG again i guess, liked it once, should like it again =)

How about DoK? Thats more either heal or damage ? Hybrid is not as good as Iron breaker and BG?

What side does TUP play? =)) Edit: checked your vid so i guess you are still on Destro ? =)

DOK & BG Damage isn't too different (to be honest, I see DPS BG as a 2h variant of the DPS DOK), but the BG has much better survival skills via KD/punt/snare breaks/M1 cleanse/higher parry & disrupt/heavy armor. However, if you're in the self-heal BG spec, your damage takes a hit.

DPS DOK, due to its medium armor and permasnare limitations, is more dependent on a group. However, you can solo effectively on it if you just try to avoid certain IBs/KOTBS/ranged DPS.

Okey thank you =))

I realise its a hard balance to find , i mean you wanna hit decent but still be able to heal, if you could be great at both thats whats called OP haha xD

Atleast ive narrowed it down, was affraid I missed some other class =))

For what it's worth, you can actually do that on a Magus, too. Spec defensively, get Aegis ability, pilfer staff, and you can do lots of damage while healing. It's a melee magus spec, and you'll be able to beat 95% of opponents.

Magus is pretty much able to shut down and hard counter any other RDPS atm via his blue horror (including most DPS healers).

Yes that is me... we play Destro unless order are really outnumbered but we try not to swap sides mid zone... as alot of people get salty, but we look for action and destro is our main :)

DOK is group heal... and it can be Melee dps (requires a tank guard to do it properly though)
