Re: Hello first time player
My main tip would be to keep having fun. Sounds easy right? Not for new players if you ask me. Hell even us veterans have a hard time with this.
First, there will be nights and timezones where you are going to get overly dominated in orvr and you will need to just get away. You can switch to scs or form groups with great players. When things get really bad in both orvr AND scs you can switch to PvE killing mobs or dungeons or even craft or explore to kill time while your faction gets their **** together. Once you have alts, you can move to different tiers or even to another faction to keep your footing. My point is, dont get angry, know your limits and know when to switch to another amazing part of this great game before you punch a monitor.
Also know that you playing with and against a community that takes pvp seriously (like almost a religion really). What this means is that you will die ALOT before you get your game together, but this is normal. Practice your class, ask questions in /advice and hang in there. You will be rewarded by meeting great pvp players and being part of the best damn pvp game to date. Trust me, if there was a better pvp game, we all would be playing it.
Since you are starting fresh, you may want to join an active guild who will help you and provide endless hours of humor which only seems to increase as your faction is getting destroyed.
Around lvl 28-32, begin to farm for ruin gear which is easy to acquire and is great entry level gear for T4.
Finally, this server is alpha, which means there are going to be problems, bugs, things that need tweaking and lately outages. Be patient and know you have one of the best groups of player-devs Ive ever seen working on fixing things. They arent being paid to do it either, their fuel is their love for this game.

Re: Hello first time player
I implore you to pick a good beginner class and to make friendly with a competent guild that will help you hone your skills. It's easy to say 'just join a guild', but unless there's attentive focus on guild members improving their skills, you won't improve a great deal in a short time.
This is ofc assuming you don't want to go super casual. If so, join a guild and just enjoy the game

I try to decide between Black Orc, Chosen or Maraduer so do you have any advice for which one i should choose based in more beginner friendly.peterthepan3 wrote:I implore you to pick a good beginner class

Re: Hello first time player
Be honest with yourself. This is a PvP game. You will die. How much? how often? are you fine with it ? etc. Imo, those are important questions you should answer, as they should impact your class, guild and gameplay choices.
If you truly donT' care about losing (10-30 fights in a row some nights), then pick any class and any casual guilds. Them people are about the social aspect of WAR. Winning fights is not important. Simple. Play whatever, log in, enjoy the company.
If you do care however, and don't really like dying over and over, then you got your work cut out for you. Your class selection and guild choice will sudddently be more dependant on what you are willing to put to learn how to game works (i.e the class, combat formulas, specs, comme tactics, etc). If you think you fall into that category, then Peterpan's comment make sense. Pick a good easy class first. Build your knowledge on it. Reroll something else when you get a grasp on how things work.

Re: Hello first time player
they are all somewhat beginner friendly. Chosen is probably best to learn the mechanics of the game well (the ability you have to press to play chosen are few... so you can focus more on what is going on in the fight).Vanagandr wrote:I try to decide between Black Orc, Chosen or Maraduer so do you have any advice for which one i should choose based in more beginner friendly.peterthepan3 wrote:I implore you to pick a good beginner class
BO is probably fine too.
Both are tanks. Easier to make friends in game than on marauder.
Re: Hello first time player
Thank you Eathisword for the advices i will probably go with Chosen (or Black Orc its hard to decide)
