Farm Ruin (T4) vs Devastator (SCs) for get RR

i thought only play in scs with -75% exp when i get R29/RR29 with full Devastator, all RR extra (to R31) is welcome for the jump to T4.

The other option is farm ruin, level up to 36 and go T4 (with low RR). If my realm close zones, the first levels of RR will up fast, but depend of my class (if i'm healer or tank maybe this option don't is very bad) damage classes with crap gear maybe yes, but i want to know "player experiences" with this set in T4, if they had good experiences or they arrepentence for did it.

Fortune set is pure RNG, so i discarded it.

Thanks in advance! i returned days ago and i forgot a lot of things :(. Also i want a oppinion of experimented players.

Bretonnia was a shield for Wood Elves, normal, they have Toughness 3 also know like paper elves.

If you play with the experience reduction you should see much more rr than that. What I was able to do on my Slayer was get to 30/41 and then completely bypass ruin while leveling up to 40 via pve. However, that is not doable on every class, as you can't really solo on a tank or healer in rvr. I think Merc/Anni is easy to get, and I don't think that I would bother with ruin.

Aye I did same thing with my Slayer and Chosen, bypassed ruin went straight for merc/anni

By the time you make r35 you have to be rr40.
Dying is no option.

To be fair most newbies start in the pve zone and stay there till the quests take them to the T1 lake and many follow the teaditional pve route as they level.

Those of us who have played a while, when re-rolling or playing an alt tend to just head straight for the lake and pvp-level.

This is how you get players with smaller gaps between rank and rr, they intuitively follow the pve route.

I typically RvR up to 28-31, then start grinding Ruin from the highest (easy, normal, hard) PQ I can manage alone. Been a long while since I leveled though.

that is not really a matter of being newbe or experienced...

it depend on objectives and classes... if you want to rise both level and rr the fastest way than mixin RvR and grind+SC is the fastest way to get 40/40... (for example the first action to do upon character creation is join sc queue... the first SC can instantly make you 2/4 in less than 10 minutes if you win and 3/5-6 if you win it really good)

but than there are classes that can't follow this steup or have to alter it.. for example if you want to play a dps tank you HAVE to focus a bit more on SC since RvR set are tank set while SC set are dps... for those that want to play tank instead Ruin is actualy much better than annhi and you absolutely don't want to skip it... while you will not give a damn about it if you want to play a dps tank ^^'

the same resoning goes for beastlord, for some class/build it is a mast have and lower the importance of other set but for other classes/build it is useless and thus move other set importance higher...

there is not just 1 way to play the sub 40 game... and the real difference between an experienced player and a noob is not knowing a trick to level faster but knowing the direction the want to play from the get go rather than discovering it midway ;)

I'm currently mulling over how I'm going to finish my climb to 40. I'm r28/rr37 on my SM. I plan on being a DPS tank so I need to grind t4 scene at some point. Not sure what level I should start PVE grinding to r40, and where to fit the scens in. T2/3 scens only really pop on weekends so oRvR.

I've also never offtanked PvE before. What sort of gear do I need for beastlord as an offtank SM?

My focus has always been to dps tank but I leveled as a tanky tank till 40/41. Then I gatheed enough gear to switch to DPS.

Figure out what you want to be when you grow up but pick the best spec to level with untill you get to the point where you can do what you want.

as I just did something similiar on my SM which is currently 39/41:

you can keep doing midtier scenarios if you feel like it (it's good renown and fun) but also can start PvE grinding, your choice , you have enough RR.
By the time you hit lvl 40 you will do those last few RR levels in scenarios or RvR to start your 40 career as a 41+.

I did scenarios up to lvl 31, when I was lvl 29 I started solo roaming in t4 lakes, got some solo kills and leeched some others, in full SC gear/weapon with the midtier boost you have quite some decent stats. Still the best renown I have seen, you can die a lot but 40s paying up to 5k are always worth it.
You can skip this as you have enough RR.

you are now lvl 31, you can start PvE grinding, I also queued t4 scenarios while doing it. SM grind is actually pretty good considering you can AoE pulls, I grinded in Ruin PQs mostly but I never used that gear as I was full Merc gear (which is very easy to get) by the time I was lvl 35, also at 35 I went and got the WindsImpervious set for a little more survivability.

to aoe grind with a SM,I stacked full strenght, get some nice armor (merc gear help) drink potions if you can and the kit is this:

you need Phoenix wing in Khaine

tactics: PotentEnch / GWM / BalancedAcc

I used Nature's blade for moar dmg and crit

rotation I used to maximize aoe:
1 EnsBlow > WrathofHoe > GustingWind
2 EnsBlow > PhoenixWing > Sudden shift > Phoenix Wing > Blurring shock
rinse and repeat from 1, but use phoenix wing instead of WrathofHoe (debuff last enough to kill everything)
