"First hit" has pros and cons.
Chars with higher dps can't steal the drops, when they out-damage you but on the other hand, you can get the loot, while others do the hard work.

Simple solution, don't attack mobs who got hit by others first. Don't help them unless you both are in a party. When your mob resets, then you lose the ownership as well.
Dying is no option.

i just see only pro because the cons can be avoided in simple way, also knowing that ppl wil avoid hit your mob as well and if ppl want help ya killing a mob, they can do it knowing they cannot ninja your loot, i fell comfortable with that

Like has been said original WAR used mob tagging, and that is the best way. In EQ there was no tagging and the loot went to whoever did the most damage. As a result, my warrior NEVER got any loot if there was a wizard standing there who decided he wanted it.

Yes, tagging is the best option, with XP sharing based on damage/heal/threat level. Resetting the mob removes the tag.
Dying is no option.

How about I just add tagging for now and divide the xp in half?

Patch completed.

First to damage mob gets the tag.
Killer shares in the xp unless Looter is in a group.
Then the looters or taggers group gets the exp

on official war server exp gone to same person that first hit it like loot

Btw have you alredy done the roll system? i see big problem otherwise :)
( command for decide who win the loot it was show as a /roll it throw a random number from 1 to 100 ) depend the number you get on, that category (( need/greed)) someone got the loot, and obiusly need > greed :) )

(pass = nothing, if all pass and/or other close drop windows the drop remain on mob, if some some do not decide in the time or close the drop windows it got considered as a pass)

/roll works as on offical on my branch. Not sure if the devs will use my patchs or not. I sure hope so.
Partyloot is not working. I wont work on something that big until I start seeing my patches used. A patch lke that would take a lot of time. Don't want to waste it as I normally charge about 125$ an hour.
