I ve noticed that the range of all m.dps skills is nearly under 5 ft you must be almost inside the other toon to aply your skill right and is really difficult to aply slow and ect on sc or rvr!!!
Can you do something about it cause nearly all melle fighters cant play properly!!!!

Well giving melee players a ranged attack would make them ranged...
Although yes as you level, a Slayer for example, gets a sprint.
However enemy melee have the same issue, so I'd see it as balanced. I think it's better to have to think about how you get your target, rather than just changing the range of the button mashing.
BTW I play a Knight.

My only problem as a Slayer is that often I get outrunned by Shammys. But thats the only problem

So i wasnt very specific before when you r on melle range the auto attack aplys normaly and skills dont i get the animation of aplying the skill without the effect.... thats my problem
If i can auto attack i shoud be able to slow or use other skills, right now you have to come even closer to use your skills!!!

I have the same problem. Auto-attacks work but can't use melee range attacks unless I'm standing on top of them.

Everyone has the same issue it existed since day one. It is still really annoying since the abilities use CD and AP's but do not apply.

The actual range itself is correct. The reason the auto attack works is that the server checks whether it can be applied at intervals and uses it when it believes you're in range. However, abilities are invoked when you yourself send a command, and the client automatically assumes the ability will execute and hit if it thinks you're in range. There's no compensation for the fact that the server and all clients have a different idea of where each player is, and so one client's judgment of whether an ability is in range may not match the server's.
I'm presently doing some reworking of the ability system and implementing some kind of solution to this problem beyond "more range when moving" is on my agenda.

I haven't noticed anything like this until today, and I play in U.S. and experience quite a bit of lag quite often. But today, specifically having to literally stand inside of mobs to fire any abilities whether they move on attack or not, and I'm dealing with terrible rubber banding of each mob encounter.
When Q and I got smoked by George and Stone in Ekrund, I could not fire off one ability until they changed focus from her to me. Was quite a marked change in both our game play, and has made it close to impossible to enjoy the RvR.

I have the same rubberbanding on npcs and pets since last patch, so it doesn't seem to have something to do with playing from the US. I'm just ~ 600 km (370 miles) away from the server and the route doesn't go overseas.
