New launcher giving me an error message

Hello. Played the game before, but since the new launcher came, it just gives me an error whenever I launch it. And can't start the game. I'll just drop this here:

Make sure you are running the launcher as administrator.

Also, ensure that the game folder isn't set to "read only".

I just experienced this issue as a new player and I think I know why. Some torrent clients download the game already extracted to its expanded folder (Warhammer Online - Age of Reckoning) so it's easy to think that it's ready to go, but the folder actually starts out as Read Only.

So as soon as I right-clicked on the Warhammer folder, unchecked Read Only, then told it to apply to sub-foders and files, everything worked.

Maybe you should add the whole don't use "Read only"-part, to the Download / Installation guide? It seems it's a pretty common problem for new people, so I think it would give you less of a headache

If you're getting this line of code in your error log:

You need to rebuild performance counters.

How to manually rebuild performance counters:

1. Go to start, and type in the search box "cmd". Right click cmd, and run as administrator.

2. Type in the command console, "cd c:\windows\system32", and hit enter.

3. Then type "lodctr /r", and hit enter.

3. It will take a few seconds to perform the command.

Performance counters should be rebuilt. Try loading the game, again.
