iirc you had to finish some hard PQs for the lock, to get them zone points

for a zone lock you needed:
- Keeps and BOs as usual
- player kills in the current RvR zone
- player kills in lower tier zones of the same pairing
- and someone had to grind PvE PQs in the current zone

Winning scenarios also contributed to zone locks then.

All of your 'I love PvP' playstyle leads to zerg.
you have 2wb. enemy have 1.
I love PvP, let's go hit red names.
everybody chase reds. like moths fall into fire. 2:1 then what, cry about zerg?
bomb wb? 2 bomb vs 1 bomb would be the same. in game design's PoV.
thx to low population, 1bomb rules all.
so here comes objectives.
to spread zerg.
what makes you think sitting BO, zerging Lord is encouraged ?
30min lord fight? that's 30min siege battle if both side actually play objectives.
yet they choose zerg. zerg BO or zerg keep.
can't you see all the signs telling you to spread and move ?
1wb keep, 1wb BO. underdog 1wb choose where to fight.
they choose BO. cuz enemy spread thin. or they choose keep. cuz there is lord.
countless strategies start from there.
when 2wb don't zerg.
only downside is left over grps who couldn't find enemy to play with.
objectives are making it happen. and you refuse to play it.
anyway play what you want. but remember your "PvP" inevitably become zerg.

Following the changes to the swordmaster's CW are there any future plans to bring the SM into line with the kotbs and IB? Or are we likely to see further nerfs to the IB and kotbs to tone them down?

All do is sit on BOs and fight lord.
And then you say something about it and youre threatened to be banned.

Are IB nerfs needed? Still does less dps than an SM and brings less utility than a knight. I usually like your work but i don't really understand SM's changes.
Obviously , it's a nerf. Does this class needs it? I'm not sure about it.
The question are:
-Why people would take a SM in a group? What is the purpose of this class?
I mean , if you want some utility : you take an IB or a knight ,if you want a DPS assist : SM can do the job but IB will be very closed and will still have a lot of tools.
-How be usefull with Vaul's tree (SnB) ?
Maybe (an armor debuff rather than a self armor buff) or bubbles for the entire group .
I can understand that it's hard do make changes with a broken class , but this changes just make the SM the way it was...

today's hotfix brings back the changes again together with backend fixes from me and Hargrim to try and solve various issues
