Veteran players, which class for soloing?

Seriously, one does not gank with tanks. You can kill baddies but that's it.

I'm sorry to tell you this, but I love me some WE. The class hits hard but also has defensive abilities for classes like casters. For melee,you have to go about things a certain way. The wrong move could lead to your death. You have to be picky and choosy about your fights. You have to think about whether or not you'll win that fight. I've been able to get at least 3300 or more out of some of my attacks. WE also have a parry tactic that increases it by 10% if you have 35% parry as it is then you really only need to up your dodge which you get from a morale ability. I could go on for hours about this class. Anyway, next class I would suggest is Mara or Bg

The class You enjoy the most. That is main priority. If You pickup the "paper" strongest class and dont enjoy it You will abandon it sooner or later anyway. Make all class up to 10 or so and find out for Your self which fits You the best. To be honest I played nearly every character on live servers and found 4 chars I had the most fun with. Nr. 1 - Witch elf, Nr. 2 - Engineer (especialy in T3+ with heal barrel + magnet) Nr. 3 - Ironbreaker (Too many buttons to smash and hard to master) Nr. 4 - White lion.
In RoR Enginner and White lion has bugged pets so for me class is not 100% enjoyable so I main WE and alting IB.

So which class is the best solo class in RoR? The class You know how to play and You enjoy it.

THE one and only solo gank/roam class for Tier 3 is AM = Kiting Godmode

I have tried it on live servers and must admit, I found it superboring and stopped to play AM in T2. I also tried shammy and made him to T3:-)
The most hillarious and fun DPSing with healer class was with Runepriest. It is so bad compared to AM and shammy, that I somehow shine with it in T3 Everything was based on Procs(heal debuff, snare,etc). If You was unlucky with procs, You was dead. It was so terrible, that I enjoyed it the most!

Oops sorry some posts appeared while I was still writing my previous one. I meant tanks in this case, I was kinda decided to roll a tank, but your most recent posts are very interesting. SW seems a good choice too. I really would like to know which strong points kotbs has in a SOLO spec. kotbs is really nice and easy to play and its very tempting to make one as my main, but I'd like to hear more about the class. Some ppl have said kotbs but only a few facts have been pointed out so far in support of the knight.

Ok. 100RR DD KOtBS had 12k or something HP, 1k strength and 1k weapon skill with Runefang, a lot of parry, 1k auto attack, enough procs to outheal Mara's regen 1vs1, all skills are absolutely helpful, if you knowhow WEs are 100% dead.

KOtBS can't kill healing healers and groups of toons with healers, DD KOtBS "tanks" with absorbs and needs items from Land of the Dead tombs.
