[Engi] Pewpew Autoattack Max

While roaming today Karast talked about an interesting Engi build.

Redeye Gearset (attack haste) + SC T4 Weapon + Auto attack increase tactic should get your auto attack to an insane level.

Downside is only that you don't auto attack while running. And the ranged abilities like snipe, gunblast, focused fire blocks your auto attack. Grenadier should be good for it.

Has anyone tested it and have numbers on the measured real auto attack seconds?

AA damage is just too low on engy, and afaik AAs don't get increased range from turrets. And grenade engy being only good for AoEs kinda make autos not worth investing in even when you would be in range.

With how low Engy WS is i dont see how useful boosting AAs would be.

AAS = WSP / (1+ haste), whereby haste 0.0 -> X.Y, e.g.: Slayer (Oathstones 15%, Overlord 5%, Conq Shoulders 10%, PFM 50% - 80%, 2.4 SC weapon) effective 1.3[...] AA.

Get Sullemunk's SwingTimer, the rounding is negligible.

Question remains what +10 Haste on Redeye Set means. I would think +10%.
'Handcrafted Scope' says +50%. Some lads have made some tests on it. So I think it would be +50% haste.

So the T4 Rifles are mostly also 2.4 secs. So they can be brought to 1.5secs.

Now, timing it with cast abilities so you don't lose any of you AA might look fun but man, it would be so easy to throw the player of the rotation

The autoattack seems to wait till it has time to be fired. Mostly between you casting something.
And as said, all these 2 sec and 3 sec castings would throw you completely off.
Apart from that the AA just finds its milisecond in between your castings.

If you run behind a Shaman you just need to remind yourself to stop each 1.5 seconds for a milisecond. :)

Okay? I checked this morning and thought something like hast +10.
Is this the Set Bonus, or from each Item calculated together?

Update: nvm found it.

So 2.4 Rifle could be brought with +75% combined haste to 1.37 secs.

Exactly, if you want to boost your AAS the best thing is to use short casts, there's no point in doing so if you are going to use 2/3s casts

If you use tactic with 2.4speed weapon you will get AA every 1.6s, this is more than enough for rifleman spec (you get autoattack between every gunblast you cast, but for that extra 25% increased AAS should be enough cause it would bring AAS down to 1.92 and it can be achieved easily with items alone leaving free tactic slot to use), pushing it further won't do any good for other specs, maybe only grenadier which have tons of insta-casts but again, that build would look weird :D

All in all, I can't see how engi can profit from stacking attack speed stuff to the extremes

and I'm just brainstorming here with no proof to base it, my engi stopped his carreer around 33lvl
