I should mention that I have all the ROR files stored on an SD card rather than my harddrive. I have extremely limited space, so I had to make due. I'm not sure, but maybe that has something to do with it.

So far, the new client has worked very well. As many players, I am using enemy, and thus, the underlying party, warband, and SC windows are disabled. However, occasionally, those disabled windows will briefly flash display (perhaps only one rendered frame) and then disappear. While this is certainly not a show stopper, it is a bit annoying. I just thought I post to see if any others are encountering this issue.

Try to run the launcher several times allowing it time to download stuff each time.

Nope. But, the good news is, I did manage to make it back into the game. I just had to avoid the error message entirely after another failed update attempt. Like many others in this thread, my backpack wasn't working and shops were selling invisible items.

Well, the launcher is doing something different today - it's downloading 3,455 files? Looks like progress for me from yesterday LOL

something changed
(1) Connection button is not greyed out anymore
(2) got stuck in the loading screen after character select
(3) force-quit the application
(4) restarted and everything seems to work now

I prematurely worried about binkw32.dll when I saw it blinked on downloaded files, but after 2nd Launcher restart nothing wrong happened. Lightmaps + Reshade still working like before, so worries. Anyway great job. Looking foward changes that new Launcher can bring. Does it mean client control is behind the corner and we can expect updated toolips altered during development process?
