[WL] What build in rvr?

Hello guys im reaching lev 40 finally and would like some suggest with my build
I would like to choose between 1 dps build and 1 survival build.

There are 2 builds axe/hunt this is your dps spec and guardian spec usually preferred by solo WL , keep in mind however that the guardian tree was"adjusted" last month , they reduced the pet stat gain from mastery, they changed the pet str gain now from the WL toughness and toughness is hard to get for the WL and also placed LF and BP at 13 and 15 points so in order to get the old spec you need rr70 to have force opportunity in your build.

All these changes to the guardian tree means that their dps was significantly reduced , you are not going to kill any good tanks, melee dok, regen mara, etc.. stick to hunting squishies, the class will feel fine if you know what are your targets.

My recommendation is go axe/hunt because you only have to worry about str and wounds and those are easier to get , try that until you are rr60, then try guardian and see what you like , remember if guardian you need toughness and wounds as your main stars.

In game it says the lions stats are only affected by your strength and weapon skill when you hover over the trained to kill skill. Is this not correct? Is your lion actually made stronger by toughness and wounds in trained to kill?

The tooltips can't be changed so the info on them may not reflect the current state of abilities,tactics,etc. Look at the wiki and use .ab changelist command.

Does +crit chance gear affect my lions crit chance too?

Yes but he will not benefit from crit/stats bought from renown points.

Does weapon DPS affect your lion's DPS? Or are you just looking for a "stat stick" when you're guardian spec?
