right click your game folder > properties > uncheck "read only" > apply to all > save.

also as outlined previously you might need to make the miles folder and also having the game on your desktop is not the best idea since desktop is one of the protected folders, this may cause issues in the future. And as Sau mentioned, no files in the folder should be set to read only.

alright i reinstalled the game ina different folder, unchecked the folders read only. lets se if it works

it still wants to do some kind of manifest... verifying and so on :S done the verifying 3 times now and it takes ages

the launcher says that it is a testing pool launcher
