Just kidding i am like rr76 something

And tbh, balance > lore.
Yeah, it's true, but from a balance perspective, if you keep giving more tanks WoDS, then every tank will want one. And then once you've given every tank a WoDS ability, SnB tanks will start to say that they feel underpowered compared to 2h tanks, because suddenly the shields benefit isn't as valuable when you can replicate it while using a 2handed weapon, so now you have to buff them in some way. It's just a never-ending spiral that will drag all the other classes with it. It's better to put one's foot down and leave it at 2 tanks before it goes out of hand. That's my opinion anyway. You could say that lore is just an additional argument in that direction, but certainly not the main one.
If we start fittin lorewise this game would be a completely different story ( Dual Wield Chosen, SnB WP, WL without pet ) and there wouldnt be anybody more physically stronger than a Black Orc.live4treasure wrote: ↑Sun Jul 08, 2018 4:07 pm Just not WoDS, imo. It doesn't fit lorewise and it devalues the ability itself. I believe that BG and SM are thematically good for such an ability, but the BO that relies on brute force and animal cunning doesn't seem like the kind of class that could use his axe to deflect incoming arrows. Imo, parry buff is fine if it is tied in some way to 2h exclusively.
You have a RR45 BG, not a RR45 BO. How are you giving analysis on one but not the other?live4treasure wrote: ↑Sun Jul 08, 2018 5:44 pm Not prepared to comment on WoDS for BG. From what I've seen, they weren't made completely overpowered by this change, but Malice built BGs do seem quite strong. It's too soon to say if they are too strong because of this or not. I think that if a nerf was to occur, then it would have to do with the punt cooldown reduction (you can get it down to 5s with BO buff) and the return damage associated with their version of WoDS.
I've had one player I know that plays BG regularly say that he's not into WoDS, because he's forced to give up Anger Drives Me, for example. But it's worth noting that you can still take Terrifying Foe, the 45% toughness debuff, which is no small feat. That's also another possible tweak for them, to simply move that amazing tactic higher in the tree if it proves to be too much. Either way, I can't really give a solid analysis here.
P.S. Yeah, lore is a secondary thing, but if you start to COMPLETELY ignore it, the game will suffer as a result in the long run, imo. It may be warped in its lore, but it still has a thematic identity. If you start going too outlandish in changes, then your badass ork will feel less like a badass ork and more like a collection of buttons to press and numbers on a statsheet. Same goes if you give WoDS to BO and then IB, SM won't feel like an epic swordsman anymore, because suddenly giant meatheaded greenskins and walking ale-barrels can do the same thing they can![]()
I'm not giving an analysis on BO as a class, though. I'm just saying if you start giving out WoDS to every other tank, it'll result in power creep and the loss of its thematic significance. That's all.wargrimnir wrote: ↑Sun Jul 08, 2018 5:51 pmYou have a RR45 BG, not a RR45 BO. To turn this into feedback post you should add some reasons why you think so.Spierron wrote: ↑Sun Jul 08, 2018 7:13 pmMy bad, i forgot to mention that this concerns changes/new in the abilitiessaupreusse wrote: ↑Sat Jul 07, 2018 9:30 amtop comment! You won the internet! 11/10 -IGN

I may be wrong but it's a PvP game ?
I had doubts but with this patch i really start to believe that it is no longer a PvP game.
