and that's what makes my WE unplayable, don't care about dot break my stealth since it's me who breaks it and it's the same issue for all class who use dot, why use detaunt if you break it instantly with AA ?
I don't count the people who detaunt me and who dies because in the same second they broke it with an AA.
this makes the game boring and makes it impossible for some classes to show their potential

Re: Server Patch notes 04/08/2018
You misunderstand. The initial application of a DoT triggers AA. The bug before was that ticks of a DoT would count as attacks, so if you detaunted at close range with a DoT up, the detaunt handler would suppress your AA, but a later DoT tick would reactivate your AA. This is now fixed.Spierron wrote: ↑Sat Aug 04, 2018 10:06 am and that's what makes my WE unplayable, don't care about dot break my stealth since it's me who breaks it and it's the same issue for all class who use dot, why use detaunt if you break it instantly with AA ?

Detaunting stopped AA immediately on live and only application of dot counted as an on hit event, which broken detaunt and started AA. Separate dot ticks itself didn't caused AA.Spierron wrote: ↑Sat Aug 04, 2018 10:06 am and that's what makes my WE unplayable, don't care about dot break my stealth since it's me who breaks it and it's the same issue for all class who use dot, why use detaunt if you break it instantly with AA ?

I agree on you, that this is an issue. Imagine being a phys. rdd and detaunting, while having long lasting dots on target. On tick you start ranged AA and break detaunt.
EDIT: Thanks Aza for clarification. Good job.

This new morale gain opens so many options, great fun thank you!
Re: Server Patch notes 04/08/2018
Feels like a step backwards. Dots need to break detaunt if they are ever to seriously pressure healers. You shouldnt be able to load someone with damage and detaunt them if the damage can be viable compared to burst. Which in a game with so much overhealing it isnt. The AP change provided some drawback to spamming away without thinking of overheal and did slow combat down a little, letting dots get some more ticks in.

Re: Server Patch notes 04/08/2018
Healers usually don't attack with dots, so dots breaking detaunt is no issue there. Previously dots were a too high risk for too little gain for dot heavy classes.Telen wrote: ↑Sat Aug 04, 2018 11:28 am Feels like a step backwards. Dotting and then detaunt is only an issue in 1vs1 encounters. A better solution but maybe not technical possible yet would be to reduce your own dot dmg by 50% on the target you detaunted.

What if detaunt would clear all of your cast dots and debuffs from your target?

Re: Server Patch notes 04/08/2018
No what I mean is if you ever want dots to become something other than damage a healer can just spam through then you cant be able to load up a target and them detaunt them. As long as dots have those kind of advantages then you cant expect dot classes to rival dd classes on damage.Sulorie wrote: ↑Sat Aug 04, 2018 11:44 am Healers usually don't attack with dots, so dots breaking detaunt is no issue there.
