Haven't played for a few months and saw that Shaman/AM had some changes. Was wondering if anyone in t4 RR40+ had changed up their builds.
I'm mostly curious if life tap (path of the green) has value now.
But please share any and all builds you are using and finding success with.

Dont even try to play shaman DPS....An AM will roll by and kill faster than u can blink

Well after some testing I found some success with a slightly modified old life tap build i used during .ab ex
1. Mastery
RoR.builders - Shaman
2. Renown
Full Deft Defender, some heal crit then into various toughness and wounds bonuses/
3. Tactics
Extra Special Mushrooms, Resto burst, Wahzaat behind you, and Gimme Dat.
4. Equipment talis
survivability talis (stack Toughness or Armor Bonus)
5. Maintain a high amount of gork's waagh and spam "I'll Take That"
my preferred targets are Pets>Turrets>MDPS>RDPS>Tanks>Healers

either insta res for rvr or new tactic for sc
rampaging siphon for burst heals might work
spend renown on deft defender, healcrit and futile strikes
wounds for rvr, armor for sc
use hots on healthy targets , il take that/fury of da green on wounded ones( try to hit grouped ones), forget about mork direct heals, only use them if no enemy is around
have fun

That build looked like a lot of fun but I had to cut some corners cause i'm only RR 50, also need Full Annihilator for this to work until RR 60.

Pretty much kept everything the same from my last post. Need as much defense as possible.

The recent Detaunt mechanics seriously hurt the DPS Shammy. The AM is soooo strong it doesn't even notice it. The AM is still Badass in spite of Detaunt mechanics.
The DPS Shammy needs a +10% strikethrough tactic. The AM already has a +25% strikethrough capability. I really don't care. Will just play an AM
. Have advocated for DPS Shammy for years. Will continue to do so, but honestly... Play a DPS AM, can't lose.

All that you are recommending is quaint and noble. I commend you for trying. But then reality hits someone in the face like a baseball bat. The DPS Shammy had a brief moment in RoR then they contorted Detaunt and phucked it all up. I no longer give a crap when RoR destroys the DPS Shammy. I tried my heart out to make this class worthwhile. The nerf happens so often that now I know it is unwise to play such a toon. Far better to play the AM and OWN.

What are you smoking? The recent dot changes fixed one big nerf to dps sham/am.
The only indirect nerf still present is, that the lifetap trees for both classes are now almost useless for dps spec, because the damage got significantly reduced.
Dying is no option.

They dot changes did not fix a thing....
The dps shammies were nerfed out of existence
Example :I group/ warbands …. Fury of the green (hits up to 5 targets at around 700 and heals the each group member for 150% of the total damage and they could do it every 5 seconds......NOT ANYMORE
Example: I`ll take that with tactic meant that you could keep yourself or somebody else alive while challenged or routed (1.5 second cast deals 750 damage and heals defensive target for 150%....NOT ANYMORE
The green tree scales with Intelligence....apart from the 2 most useful abilities which don't scale at all 300 damage before mitigation.
In the case of a shaman all it is a healer with 2 gimmick spells (I`ll take that and Fury) that you don`t have the AP to use as instant casts and most healing abilities are better anyway
