So, with Trollslayer lacking any fillers, Giantslayer still being an unreliable, overly tactic-dependant garbage (on a class that is by default tactic-slot starved and locked into a handful of setups) and Skavenslayer having traded singletarget ID ticks for low-uptime channeled Retribution and SL that is workable in (super) smallscale again...
The core of singletarget Slayer is detoriated (rip SC) and yet Trollslayer/Skavenslayer is still the only reliable (dps and utility-wise) spec to run.
Good on you for trying to force the 2h meme regardless of the costs ~ reinventing the wheel; ignoring discussions and suggestions in the past (both highlighted by Middlefinger in another thread), to enforce a broken spec on classes that barely sees any decent play because of its limitations and requirements is surely the way to go.
Why fix one mastery if you can break two, amirite?
You could have just swapped weapon requirements (DW for Giantslayer, 2h for AoE), given Giantslayer a neat new rage mechanic by salvaging EtO/F, the terrible finisher you've mindlessly moved or the slotmachine tactic you've embraced, and called it a day.
Guess I've rolled and propped up my IB just in time to have an alternative to jump ship to; to dodge the headless chicken treatment ~ inb4 'pruning' incoming.

Re: Client Changelog 19th August
Thanks for your feedback, but since I'm not actually done with 2h Slayer, I'll just laugh at your inability to understand that fixing damaged specs takes more than one patch and go about my day

Re: Client Changelog 19th August
Lol, tracer rounds is a flat 15% crit increase that affects all abilities. The magus counterpart(s) are tree restricted, so you can’t compare the two. Both classes have things that the other one wants, it’s ultimately your own bias that influences your “conclusion”.hammerhead wrote: ↑Mon Aug 20, 2018 9:19 amRoR.builders - Engineerpeterthepan3 wrote: ↑Mon Aug 20, 2018 9:02 am Too much theorycrafting. Any PBAOE dps spec that ignores 15% damage from Demon = lol. Any midrange AOE dps spec that ignores both range increase and crit increase from Change = topkek.
RoR.builders - Magus
Proceeding from the foregoing, one can still conclude that the Magus has a little ahead, having one point for the variations. In addition, Magus has access to the ST tree without losing access to the crit. I think they are all right and more or less even with the engineer.

Re: Client Changelog 19th August
I would consider changing Rune of Battle to be self buff only with this tactic, coz 4 RP in healing build can pick it up and place it on BW/Slayer and suddenly you have Morale Draining BW/Slayers in the warband without even needing to including dps RP's or any other marginilized warband dps class. This change basicly just boosted the **** out of the allready cemented Order warband setup.

My 2h Choppa likes the changes and is waiting for more tweaks to come.

Re: Client Changelog 19th August
Can you clarify which ones and why?

Re: Client Changelog 19th August
Now I can use GFDSS in my rotation with 15% crit tactic. Previously Slasha was just better, despite lower base dmg.

Re: Client Changelog 19th August
I think this would be the best conclusion to what was recently done to the game and its balance within classes. In my opinion, these changes do absolutely no change to what is actually needed hence useless. Fortunately, the overcooked idea for boosting Ruthless Assault by 50% (50% just like Absolut) turned into a massive blunder the same day. It would probably be pointless to ask about the reason for each single change but hopefully, soon there will be no need for that, just like there was no need to ask why the ex-experimental mode for dps DoKs was removed.
With lots of love and hate

It is not that hard, when you accept, that exhaust heavy builds require too many tactic slots to work properly. ^^ Str, Str+WS, Crit Dmg, Crit Chance
