Re: Server is Down
Why? because the server wasn't up in a few minutes?
It's 4am in France and the devs do have (real) jobs....

Wow I would think you would have some Netcool(or other alert software) on that when space gets a certain threshold it starts shooting off emails or maybe you do but the threshold is not set correctly every DB I have ever admin'd that feature was present. Not going to ask why you're not running a redundant failover either that backs up once a night lets say 4 AM French time(yes I know some DB licences are expensive)Yaliskah wrote: Thu Sep 06, 2018 9:28 pm Some explanations.
The db disk is full (where your characters, items yadayayada, vaults...) are stored. So we must make things carefully (don't you agree? :p) to manage some space (backup, re-allocating (not a tech) etcetc...).
It may take some time and we apologize for this, but i guess you understand...

Besides for the obvious fact that this is alpha, I just wanted to point out the hardware, software and licensing costs probably comes entirely out of their own pocket. Lets not even include the time it takes to build maintain and repair these servers too.
Hopefully this is just a result of a full db and not some other countless unrecoverable data-loss issues Ive seen.
