i would say that enough competent tanks wins the sc. atm single dps could pressure enough backline healer so he focus entirely on himself and even got a kill \wh, we with double hp debuff\

One thing I'm seeing misrepresented here often by people (and OP in his post) is DPS AMs being able to heal themselves. If they are dps they have high int and low willpower, their mechanic will change what stats contribute to their heals when it's charged IF they are targeting an ally, but if they target themselves their mechanic doesn't increase their healing at all and they end up doin pretty crap healing with their low willpower + 20% reduce heals from divine fury. They are definitely very capable at healing teammates when utilizing their mechanic but their self heals aren't OP in my experience (thought I only play the shammy version, it's possible there's a difference I'm missing, that M1 looks real nice). I imagine this is a large reason I see dps AM duos roaming around the lakes quite often, sorta negates the downside of their mechanic if they just heal each other the whole time.Arbich wrote: ↑Fri Sep 14, 2018 3:03 pm too much theorycrafting. healing in general is balanced. Fights are already often fast-paced.
Also what's with everyone complaining about DPS AMs all the time but never about DPS shammies anymore? Making us feel bad 8-(
(Pretty sure it's the disrupt strikethrough, can shammies get 1 tactic for it already so we can at least have half as many as AMs get?)
Edit: Forgot 15% strikethru tactic got removed, scratch that last sentence. Still think the 10% one is doing a lot of work for em.

Heal are a big part of the game without a doubt. Some classes more than other were designed to have heals. There is nothing wrong with that if you are aware of what shape that gives the game.
Healing is designed around good dps doing a good job of focusing. It's not balanced around uncoordinated average dps doing whatever they want.
It's also designed around huge amounts of high AoE damage, in RvR. To be fair this is the area healing can be a little stupid and is the reason why numbers ends up mattering much more than anything else. It's why bombs are needed and stuff like that, but thats getting off topic.
If healers overwhelmingly eclipsed dps you wouldnt need things like guard and DR morales.
The perception of healing being overwhelming might be because at a base level of play healing is probably stronger.

You can die in a single knockdown
iniative giving crit and its also a mathematical problem that isn't very fair to fellow gamers
ranged have like 100 foot range
some technical things like str scales poorly on most skills furthering the fact that a single knockdown can be the end of you vs an aoe detaunt that could of happened
pets not fixed yet they run through walls and incredibally fast witch is just unfair they are NPCs in PVP
Riposte sucks ass and can ruin a good 1v1 experience
morales are a huge thing
teamplay already has a huge advantage i'd think they dont need more
and not all specs are viable and every skill in the trees

Balance on RoR getting more and more out of hand implies that balance changes - not bugs and stuff present in the game for a long time/innately - are getting out of hand.
