Players who are outnumbered feel frustrated by the impossibility of victory so they don't log in.
Players with the greater numbers feel bored because they're taking empty keeps and no players to kill so they don't log in.
No amount of class balance can fix this issue.
No amount of new content can fix this issue.
AAO does not work.
The only way to fix the issue is to restrict how many players can enter RVR from each faction at a time. Suggestion is to keep the amount plus or minus 5%.
Example if there are 49 players in faction A then only 51 players max can log into faction B. If there are 100 then 96 - 105 can enter from the other side.
If there are less than 20 players in each faction (5% is less than one person) then faction population should have to be exactly even.
Biggest problem on Live is still the biggest problem on RoR
Re: Biggest problem on Live is still the biggest problem on RoR
Fair assessment, but I don't think that actively restricting how many people can participate in RVR is going to be good for the population. Not everyone plays both factions so what is the solution for those people then; don't play? I don't think AAO is the perfect system but this is a much worse alternative.

So how do you stop players entering RvR in a game where entry into RvR lakes is simple enough, just walk in.
Do you want to stop people from login in? Well that will kill the game and piss people off to no end.
And if you do? What are players to do? Keep trying to log into the game every minute for hours on end till a spot is open? Well hell that will kill the game 100% and then some. I mean screw that noise.
Have you really thought this out? Or just tired of being outnumbered and coming up with any idea that comes down the turnpike?

Log to the smaller side, if you want fights or stay underdog and enjoy the kills with aao.
The suggestion has the same quality like xrealm timer. The OP isn't even the first one with the idea.
Dying is no option.

hmm will be nice if you join but half of your party can join RvR and will wait in WC

Re: Biggest problem on Live is still the biggest problem on RoR
Uhm, there is no issue. When you play on zerging side and it is too boring, queue sc, do pve or xrealm to smaller side.Korhadreth wrote: ↑Wed Nov 14, 2018 6:38 amCross realm timer can't be enforced but this can. When being underdog, enjoy plenty fights, gain a lot rewards, which depends on individual skill. When it frustrates you, then queue for sc, do pve or xrealm to get less rewards. The last options is the only one, which should be prevented because apparently most ppl don't care for rewards or they wouldn't sit on flags with guild groups, getting minor ticks.

Big organized wb destroy this game. PPL blob in one place nad 99% of map is empty. When was no keep to taka there was no blob. Loot of ppl play solo or small scale. Wher U go U see the fight. Now U see one side or other blob and take empty keep.

A warband with bad players, e.g. low individual skill, is pulled and harassed by any premade group and farmed one by one, as people get lost or left behind.Korhadreth wrote: ↑Wed Nov 14, 2018 6:57 amThis game is not won by individual skill its won by zerging. It should be won by team work which is what equal sides will do. Individual skill means absolutely nothing unless you can solo a warband.Sulorie wrote: ↑Wed Nov 14, 2018 6:49 amindividual skillKorhadreth wrote: ↑Wed Nov 14, 2018 6:38 am

Equal sides is no requirement for teamwork.

You can't lock zones with constant even numbers in the lakes. That's actually core to oRvR that you need more peeps than the defending faction(s) if you want to take or lock major objectives.
RvR =/= sPvP
RvRers =/= sPvPers
But I'm just an unskilled zergling,a true badie in the eyes of sPvPers. So what do I know.

defenders need better rolls, morales need nerfing across the board
but the playerbase kicks up a **** whenever morales are touched so the devs can't really do anything and blobbing will continue
