Is there a place to preview gear appearances?

I specifically want to know if there's any gear which looks like the AM dominator head.

Or will I be forced to spend my medallions it if I want that look?

In trying to find the answer, I've come across some specific set previews, but I also wonder if there's any image database to see how all the gear looks.

Afaik asking ingame is the best option. There are plenty AM who make the mistake to use full Dominator.
