I agree with you on everything, but this:

Inconsequential damage in any environment outside of chasing solo stragglers in the lakes; it's essentially a poor man's DPS AM (from the sounds of it), imo.

Something similar to Scent of Blood, maybe not as excessive as 50%, 35% maybe, 3 sec immunity, shortish cooldown. This would give a regular useful option for mobility issues allowing us to engage but not get waht it originally was 5 seconds and 50% seems a bit much in smaller situations.

If mobility lacking is going to remain a staple to "balance" the fact we have significant self heal once stuck. I believe that innate survivability needs to go up, I completely agree with someones above statement that the current concept doesnt work for RVR gametype. a squishy very kiteable MDPS based on melee lifetaps is inherently flawed in the scheme of RVR. Tanks being the most accessible target take very little dmg for us and dont provide near enough lifetap to give viability. Thus again I think more survivability at base and conversion of the lifetapping values to have perhaps a significantly higher base and less high end lifetap against squishies.

There is no need ALL specs for all classes to work for all scales. If melee healing is not working for orvr then go with backline heal spec. I dont know why ppl keep pushing for do all at my spec, be flexible and respec like all other classes do it.

Buff it abit more and soon there will be backline doks/wps using shield and enjoying endless rf thanks to op procs from gear

As I agree with all said, this thread is about DPS spec, not melee healing spec.
In it you keep one healing ability you cannot sustain yourself (but can prolong your presense) with (rend soul) as it should be, as damage output was made higher.
Whole purpose of this thread, as stated in OP, is to give feedback on DPS spec and how it performs, so devs can have information on changes they've implemented and decide if it works as intended or not.

Go too IC. Start hit target dummy. How many skill U can Use too end of ap pool ? 1 max 2 rotation. On real enemy will be harder because he can block it parry. Sec Am/kobs can reduce ap from U. Mele dok NEED tac for ap regen.

For the shield, the channel heal/ damage self ability doesn't heal anyone for me, is there a way to even get it to work?

I agree that its hard with ap, dont agree that we need tactic. Like all other dps, let group feed you with AP. Its not like a mara waste a tactic slot for some ap.

Pretty much that. Also you can AP doublepot, and ( :lol: ) Beastlord pocket item your way out of 0 AP. ALso class recource abilities, like rendsoul give you window to regen some.
