Thanks for the link to the video, there seem to be indeed a lot of elements inspired from what is very easily and negatively termed as "conspiracy theories" embedded in video games. Medias nowadays are more and more harshly criticizing and mocking any shadow of an alleged conspiracy within some government body or any kind of powerful elite. Why the haste and fierceness if they are so ludicrous, they shouldn't deserve such attention. Now we have the handy "fake news" formula to be readily unsheathed when someone tries to alert of a possible unethical situation within the high degrees of power.
Well, one way or another when we wonder at some discrepancies and oddities regarding official or mainstream narratives in some issues, trying to grasp what is bugging us is not easy given the disinfo, trolling, dead ends or simply absurd ideas that abound on the Web. Yet I think there are a lot of honest people who do great jobs in searching for grains of truth and try to grasp a view of the broad, and real, picture. Yes, I think there are selfish agendas that some elite force deceitfully upon us. Yes I think they do hide some huge things in essential areas, to a level that I'd tell they are heavily twisting history and shaping our paradigm. But yet I think they're not as powerful as they wish us to believe they are. Just heavily flawed human beings, now steadily losing on all fronts while common people more and more do challenge their daily lies. Thus for instance the "yellow vests" protests which originated in France and gained momentum in Europe.

Well, this is already a long post so I'll get to the advice I wanted to give you. So it's not easy and takes a lot of time to research by oneself and find information sources with a good accuracy track record.
I think one of the best sources at present is the "Qanon" whistleblowers team, likely including US military staff with intelligence clearances. Their communications are more or less cryptic, and highly strategic, but it is worth the time to dig into it. Almost all sensible topics are addressed. Their approach is to not give away the answers directly, but rather to incite people to think and search by themselves while guided by the Qanon clues and thus avoiding some distraction. They appeared in late 2017 and the number of readers have grown up exponentially because of their impressive accuracy. "Q" writes on the 8kun board and then people recompile his posts on several aggregator websites, like these ones: https://qanon.pub or https://qmap.pub. People worldwide discuss Q posts on boards, social networks and videos.
