Let's say i don't have toons on both factions.
Let's say i work 8 hours and i come home to relax and play my favorite game with my favorite toon providing the limited time i can spend.
I login and i got penalties on rewards because the server is unbalanced. Imagine the frustration. There should be no penalties at all, and don't start by saying the penalties are only on kills and not on locks etc. The game is about kills, if you want to play offline simulator mode there are many other games out there.
Of course people who make the effort to think and help the balance of the server, should be extra rewarded.
Casual players should not be penalized.

Cant argue with people who actually Think its a good idea.
Group i played with last few weeks, is now off from game again

Tbh i am also ignoring rvr atm. Only place to get decent renown is in sc. Or i go to a bo and stand there. I get 41 renown Per tick there on wp. Mostly in group on wp i get 1-25 renown Per kill

Those players in sc need an enemy, so the underdog side loses equally numbers if players in rvr to fill sc queue.
Dying is no option.

The Malus penalties (if you are going to do them) should be on zone locks/BO's/loot.
You should never penalise killing in a pvp game like this. It's totally at odds with the spirit of WAR.
Finally I would recommend buffing AAO to be even more attractive over these penalties. Many people enjoy playing with AAO. Everybody hates this Malus.

Yeah just happend to our group, we dissolved after barely an hour of playing because of that crap. Gotta be honest, finding it hard to be constructive with this change, don't like it in the slightest, makes players logout instead of play, myself included. This might be your intention I dont know, seems like a very strange way of improving and growing the game though.

Simple example why this change is bad - ive enter lake solo on my slayer yesterday, few meters out of wc i was attacked by WE. She didnt do so well and got proper 2h hammer crushing her skull. I got 1 renown... just because somewhere 5km away from me theres a lot of order attacking keep. Does it make any sense and encourage me to roam the zone seeking fights?
You got 1 renown because WE was a lowbie, but this probably doesn’t fit your narrative...

But he would have still gotten 1 renown if AAO was high enough. Its antifun design. Afk zergblobbers still afk on BOs and soloers/small groups now earn nothing if their side happens to being afking harder than other side.
