Authentication failed.

Hey,

I played RoR a while back and had no issues. Re-installed it a few days ago and have had trouble getting the game to load into the character creation screen.

I get this error every time i login.

Ive read through the stickies and tried everything there.

Any advice guys?

i don't see any "Martyr Square server " name on the screenshot. Do you use latest client/patcher/launcher?

Firewall blocking?

I've tried both downloads from the website (torrent and launcher) also tried another download from Elven i believe that was on one of the forum posts. and ive tried disabaling the firewall completely. still no joy.

Thanks for the suggestions though. ill keep playing around with it and let you guys know.

So, with the help of MaxHayman, I downloaded a VPN app. The VPN got me to the server screen then hung and wouldnt connect to the character selection screen. so i closed the VPN app and then it conencted.

For anyone having the same trouble, these were the steps i took.

-Open VPN
-Open RoRLauncher
-Put in user/PW then click connect
-Wait for it to open the server list (it then hung on connecting to that list)
-Close VPN
-Enjoy.
