Gearing help for NA player

So I've returned after a long hiatus, the NA timezone playerbase has increased some thankfully but it's still woefully smaller than EU zones. This was a major problem on my first time through here resulting in a lot of my characters being rank 40 but -awful- RR because of lack of RvR/SC pops.

My WP is sitting in full Ruin atm with a whopping 27 RR so I don't have a lot of options still. I'm trying to slog through the awfulness but I know there are dungeons now etc(something I never took part in on Live, just pvp'd).

What could I possibly do on this guy(and other characters I have in the same predicament) to get something better than Ruin until I get my RR up for other sets?

I tend to play DPS roles in all my characters(even healers/tanks yes I am a baddie) so if that matters on stats take that into account.

Hello, during The Weeken the NA pop is pretty good and you can farm rr/medallion in sc or in rvr ( we have forts now ).
You can get very goods pve sets for your wp aside ruin;
1) beastlord set ( 5 boss all around the war world which gives you a token each to complete the full set )
2) onslaught set ( it comes from hard chapt 22 PQs ) and you need a full wb to do this.
3) red eye set ( it comes from Gunbad which is very easy for a rr40 with a decent gear )
4) sentinel set ( from city dungeons and you need a full achievement of red eye set to get in ).
Beastlord set is good for a hybrid/dps wp
Onslaught set is very performant for a heal spec wp.

I'm in NA too, even if the population isn't in your favour just get out in oRvR. There are many sets you want on the way, such as the Beastlord set, but I'd say the best way to get geared will always be getting atuck in to pvp
