I find it deeply ironic that staff is mocking people who complain about what a slog it can be to gear up, when most of the staff either don't play the game anymore, or most likely haven't leveled a character (without using dev/gm commands to get instant r40/rrXX) in ages.

Not to mention giving themselves free gear from hidden stores or dev/gm commands. Or have they finally stopped doing that?

This would be grounds for removal from the team. I don't know what you let people get away with, but it's not been a problem I've ever run into. The few issues that ever came up were from players getting into places they should not have been able to get into and were patched out.

This is not the first time you've tried to stir **** with the current team. I would advise you specifically to knock it off.

To be honest Magic, i feel a bit offended.

Since few days, i follow your interventions here, ingame (yeah i still play) or on discord, and i'm surprised. Can be summarized in 1 sentence : " Team is bad and is doing bad job, BUUUUUT i'm still around giving my negative opinion".

You know, as a former team member, that nothing is easy and simple and we are trying our best. Maybe you forgot with time or...

About your latest allegations, everyone can check my characters on armory : Yaliskah, Hasard, Ahmagaad, Mordreed, Medusae. Obviously this is not my GM account. Got only 1 character on my GM account : lvl 10 (this is suspect), probably renown 1, naked called Videomaker.

I think all ppl who know me on discord (mostly french ppl) know my opinion about "advantages" in general.

So, why my account has no specific gm power ? Precisely cause it can create suspicions (and have no instant need of any GM power to fly when i do vids).

But you know that. You were in the staff years ago. And years ago when you were in charge, the question related to GM command use was on the table, and surprisingly, only one person was against the use of it for personnal purpose: ME.

Some project leader at this time invoked the "compensation for the time invested" to justify it. Again, you were here, again, i was the only one against it.

Since you are gone and this project leader, some adjustments have been done, and some rules for GM command use for personal purpose (meaning personnal advantage, like modifying stats or lvl are fordiden and tracked) have been writen by myself. In 2016. Dana was DB lead at this moment.

About leveling and gear. Unless you created a character these last weeks (i have), i don't see where is the difficulty to level and be stuffed ( for a mmo, and even compared with original game...)

So, i wonder where hypocrisy is exactly and what you are looking for. Suddenly you are very talkative for someone gone without a single explanation overnight few years ago...

I doubt many would care if the devs gave themselves a shortcut. I want them playing the classes so they can see the problems some have.

I think you have a little distorted the essence of what the person had in mind, saying that he cannot play for so long. In any MMO goal is the progress of the character. no matter how long this particular player has gone to this, if this goal is there, then the game still makes sense.
I do not want to criticize the project as such so as not to run into all sorts of fatherly advice on how to live and what to do, because Wargrimniris right this is their project and they see it that way, but we're here like alpha testers. And speaking dryly, the Forts game mechanics can serve to reduce the player base because she will stop this progress at all. Wait and see.

Isn't gearing up from scratch a problem some players might have? Not saying the gearing is bad atm cause i havent played for uhmmm a year maybe? But it is something to keep in mind.
