DoK duo questions

My buddy and I have been playing DAoC since TOA and played Warhammer back in the day before servers shut down. He's looking to play a DoK and we want to duo rvr. What do you think would be a good complement? We're currently thinking choppa, chosen, mara, or BO, but open to all classes, it doesn't have to be melee. We just don't want to play a full healer Any advice would be greatly appreciated!

definitely a tank

Blackguard is probably the best tank for a duo with dps DoK, but the other two tank classes are fine as well.

Keep in mind, your buddy won’t be DPS Doking until RR60. I tried at low level and it’s brutal in SC. The AP drain is fun but you will become “A” number 1 target even over pure healers. Roam groups are the best and teaming up with a Marauder, AP drain Zealot makes for a even deadlier team.
