No the problem is, that those droprates are used for multiple hundreds(maybe thousands) of players. You cannot work it out like that in any possible way when we have max200 at peak times currently.

Damn, I hate staying involved with a topic at this late hour, but its just too interesting -.-
So Azarael and OldPlayer, could you please rest your mini-war and get back to topic without accusations? I got my own oppinion on your guys' matters, but accusation don't bring profit for anybody.
Please guys, let's try to find a common solution for this matter.
As for gerald, noise, ley, goryak & co.:
All that is being done here at the moment is pointing fingers with some minour suggestions on how to fix **** as dessert. Feel free to comment, constructively critizise and consider oppinions. But do not let this thread fall down to a hate/flame/witch-burn topic.
Let's brain-storm together and see how we can fix things. No judging, no accusations, no calling names, etc.
When we find a COMMON solution and players SHOULD be banned, it should be done in quiet, since it has the same outcome as ruckus and out-loud salvations of the problem.
Devs will pick the decision based on community voices, of that I'm sure.
So please, let's get back to topic and stick with the constructive comments (while I'm fully aware that I haven't been constructive and on-topic throughout the course of the thready myself, but promise imporevement? =p)

There is no war as far as I'm concerned. My use of "your" was the general "your", I do not believe that OldPlayer is an exploiter.

Though I do question the idea that any exploiters should be banned silently. I feel any players who can be proven to have exploited should be shamed publicly, instead of being entitled to anonymity.

(And nobody I have named in this thread fits that standard of proof.)

WAR is about to farm players, not npcs. allow to the people to get their gear easier and none will have any reason to exploit any gold. lets dont be korean, cmon!

I didnt try to say that he is an exploiter or any of the sorts, since I reckon OldPlayer as a good person reading between the lines. But you guys keep getting at each other's throats without paying actual attention to what's going on around.
If exploiters are blamed and shamed and then banned... what's the point of blaming and shaming? They are gone anyway. Don't stoop that low please, if they're gone suddenly, everybody will know it's for a reason.

AlistaireCrowley wrote:Drop rates fixed? Lol lol

These are the drop rates from Original game. Same database. RoR are supposed to be as like as the Original game. If you dont like that. Apply as a coder and change the drop rates yourself. The devs have far much important things to do!!!

And as I have stated before. PvE only matters in T1. When we get higher tiers best items will come from RvR.

Best regards
lol wut? Because soo many classes like bg, had terrible drop rates for armor pieces like shoulders right?

Multiple devs have stated that the item drop rates and item database is broken and furthermore azrael has statd in the item drop gear location thread that he is working on fixing it.

Guys, don't start a fight as well. Please consider that t2 has more equip gainable through pvp than t1 has, so farming atm is kinda how you have to deal if you want to get top-equipped.
And TenTon isn't wrong either, since the drop rates really are a nightmare atm.
Guys, you are both oin the same side, just misunderstand each other, as far as I can see it =(

Are you saying anyone that say they are honest farmers should keep gold and gear?
Would me being a baddie cry baby change the fact that duped money are duped?
How does the way ppl play differently affect duped gold. I miss the connection please help me out?[/quote]

Hi Bozzox^^

I was not refering to any of the things you ask. 1st: I not am saying gold should be kept, on the contrary. 2nd: I see your concern regarding the legitamcy of the gear bought with duped gold, but what ever the price was for the item, it cant be resold for the same price, when a gold reset accours. As there is no gold to buy with. Also the lvlcap will increase at some point and the gear prices will be affected by economic circumstances that will be present at that time.

The legitimacy of an item is not bound to the item but the gold that buy them. Lets say: I buy a lamp from a vendor with counterfiet money, and get cought. The lamp isnt punished nor is the seller, but the action of buying and the counterfeit money will be punished. Now i know in this RoR case the toon with counterfiet money keeps the item, because it cant be traced. Again refering to the lamp example, if say the lamp wasnt found, the decision makers would hardly destroy all lamps, just to be safe?

I get it, this is a game and not real, but the way we act here should reflect that fairness? As when we doom gold dupers amoral.

So i'm suggesting that we keep the gear we farmed, but delete the gold.I see the duped gold as the sole problem to inflation, as that is the measurement of value. If the stock is low, prices will reflect that. As others suggested a cap on capacity might be in order. I too want to fix economy, but burning my new sweater because some people dont have one, that i dont think is the answer. How about a gold wipe, we see how it goes and if still bad we could take stronger tools into use?

The connection was drawn that people play differently and enjoy games from different angles. To delete the gear would be kind of harsh to ppl who doesnt share that opinion. I admit i am influenced by the fact that i farm, ofc. But i dont think what is asked is fair, in reagrds to what is necessary to do.

Im not sure this discussion is about selfishness btw. When one has made a decission, legit and moral 1 i might add, which turn into good fortune, and some wants to take it way, then i think it is only rational to defend it, even instinctive.

Sry for the delay Xiu

I agree.
There are really better ways to spend time than farming/lvling. Like PvP.
Mb you guys are masochists and enjoy farming instead of playing as intended?
Np, everyone has their rights.
For me repeating farming process again and again is insane and boring.
And if there any wipe like that occured, especially in later tiers it would take shitloads of boring time.
