Re: Patch Notes 23/03/2019
Definetly the shortsighted patch history we had is at fault not the very core concept of the game...stuff to deal with is mastery balancing (and appereance cuz we are ill for goodlooking appereance) not core meccanics...

I didn't know that as well. Was it a ninja change? And i wonder what was the reasoning behind it... something tells me it was something along the lines of "parry is too easy to stack, it makes those 2H tanks too strong".Tankbeardz wrote: ↑Wed Mar 27, 2019 3:10 pm
I, honestly, didn't know that WS did not contribute to parry anymore.

Wait, what, are you guys trolling about WS not affectng Parry?
Any proofs? I have hard time believing there would be such an absurd change to one of the core combat mechanics.

Re: Patch Notes 23/03/2019
ITs the same thing there is for toughness, ws does affect parry as long as you have more ws than the enemy has str, iirc, is something like that, the usual "streamlining" of things becausse they really didnt know how unique each one was.
Re: Patch Notes 23/03/2019
It was not a ninja change, but the reasoning was as you described, allthough healers getting "free" disrupt (from stacking willpower!) was the main reasoning by several posters in this thread, that probably in the end induced it.Penril wrote: ↑Wed Mar 27, 2019 3:15 pmI didn't know that as well. Maybe this might help with the WS/parry/guard-confusion (or just add more
)

Re: Patch Notes 23/03/2019
TLDR version: you always have 25% parry against Guard. For Player VS Player encounter:Gangan wrote: ↑Wed Mar 27, 2019 4:11 pm Maybe this might help with the WS/parry/guard-confusion (or just add more)

Your ws / Enemy's str * 7.5 = Parry (cap is 25%) is the r40 formula.
So if your opponent has 1000 strength, your 1000 weapon skill only provides 7.5% parry.

Re: Patch Notes 23/03/2019
for anyone getting misinformed about stats, please read what I just posted:
viewtopic.php?f=8&t=31038&p=351802#p351802
TLDR:
WS does add to parry, getstats only show PURE stats and not derivative ones
