I believe that a total char wipe would drag some people away from this server for a big period of time. Most of us just build up a kinda relation to our characters and just don't wanna lose them. Gold wipe is just fine, we all will appreciate it

I just want to repeat that there is no reason why we should wipe chars. We have no plan about this and we don`t speak in our Team about this.

Removing all gold, but leaving the spoils of gold usage, for example rings bought for 500-1000 gold per piece in auction house, will not solve the problem you've decided to solve. Gold will be removed, people who have used gold before the wipe to get the bestest equipment evah will still profit from it with their equipped heroes.
That may also be viewed like: "we've punished everyone, honest farmers and evil exploiters, but evil exploiters were able to get the best equipment, you did not, tough stuff".

Leaving character names would be nice in case of any wipes for sure.

I'm all for killing whatever they did to exploit gold. But some of us DID earn our gold legitimately. I've been saving up gold for months to buy some strength rings .. which there are none now on AH anywhere atm on the Order side ... and the thought of having all of that gold I worked hard to save up go away makes me ill. So while I'm all for kicking the exploiters in the (nads), but it will set me back significantly... which is really upsetting.

I'm rather annoyed about this. Nalgol said five people on the server have 10,000+ gold. And you guys cannot figure out who the exploiters are, so everyone has to pay the price for their cheating? And now you're gonna ban possible exploiters? How will you decide who is exploiting? Everyone who had more than 1,000 gold? My guildmates and I farmed items and sold them on the auction house. Perfectly honest. And now our time and effort is getting flushed ... because you cannot figure out who the exploiters are. I understand a lot of people are for the change, and I'm certainly not hating on them. From a certain point of view, I can see why it would be necessary. But ALL gold? Can you give the rest of us a break and not wipe it ALL? And the talk of wiping level 12+ items from the inventory? My god, why? That wasn't gained (at least by my guildmates) by illicit means. We honestly farmed them. So, more time and effort lost. You can keep saying over and over "this is an alpha." And you would be right. This is your guys' server, that is correct, and ultimately you can do what you want. We don't pay for the privilege of playing, true. But your project here depends on US (the players), and the time and effort we put in here. And though there are many here loudly applauding the wipe, there's a lot of silent people who are upset. And I worry you may do more harm than good. The gold wipe I can tolerate. I *HATE* it, but I'll get over it. Wiping items now over a certain level? My guildmates won't be back if that happens. If our time and effort won't be respected, we won't give it to you anymore.
