Re: Recent Past, and Future, State of Classes and Abilities
Indeed, especially with WP when accidentally selfheal when target runs out of sight and u have to clean current target. Healing atm is running in hardcore pain in the ass mode

True, root has always been used offensively to prevent people from escaping, but if it also doesnt break with damage then it is clearly OP. But if I understand you correctly you think you have seen it break before the 3 sec duration, so hopefully I am wrong about this. I wish I am, cos I hate it when I die because, as a melee SW I have to be at close quarters and frequently end up caught in those annoying roots and killed cos I never have any pocket healer.
Re: Recent Past, and Future, State of Classes and Abilities
Right now it seems very buggy, sometimes when rooted damage breaks it sometimes it doesnt and the same can be said when using juggernaught. To be clear all non morale roots should break when u take damage tho there was 1 occasion when this didnt happen and its when a shaman/am used aoe snare pit and a sh/sw used selfpunt snare tho im sure this was a bug and wasnt intended.Deadpoet wrote:True, root has always been used offensively to prevent people from escaping, but if it also doesnt break with damage then it is clearly OP. Morf.. The AM 'pit' as you call it is a lingering Slow field on the floor and thats something completely other than a Root. Same for the selfpunt as it also slows people, and doesnt Root them. There seems to be some misconception about the word Snare though. In DAoC snare was synonymous for slow. While WoW used snare as root...

They are both snares but when used together it would turn into a root for anyone affected, sure it was a bug tho.noisestorm wrote:Morf.. Re: Recent Past, and Future, State of Classes and Abilities
Im not so sure about that. If you got 2 completely different kinds of Slows, why shouldnt they stack? And even if they did, they surely didnt root you, but slowed you for like 80-90%, which is quite strong though (and may feel like a root perhaps). But _if_ this will here occur anyways , we'll see in the future. No reason to talk about such stuff right now.
BTT: also makes no sense to talk about root etc not working, simply be patient and wait for the rework. If aza is done and you find bugs, THEN you can start reporting them again. Right now its just wasted effort i guess

Re: Recent Past, and Future, State of Classes and Abilities
Future speed handling takes the strongest positive and negative speed % modifiers and multiplies them. If the player is critically wounded, a fixed 30% speed modifier is applied.
