Cannot login! plz Help!!!

hey guys!
after multiple attempts reinstalling the game, i keep receiving this error!
"Windows cannot access the specified device, path, or file. you may not have the appropriate permissions to access the item."
what is causing this, and how do i fix it?!?!

This is happening to me right now as well. Would like to know what steps to take to fix

Not enough detail to fully see the problem so would be helpful to know:
What directory did u install the game in
A screen shot of the actual error message
Did you check if contents is write protected

Standard solutions to standard problems are:

A) install the game in a directory like c:\ror\
B) remove write protect for game directory and all sub folders
C) check your virus protection software did not block the game and or add the ROR directory to exceptions for said virus protection software
D) all else fails try running as admin

It was C)
For some reason adaware doesn't like RoR. I disabled it and the updater/launcher are both working properly now. Thank you!

Same problem here, i try to allow my Bit Defender to load the launcher but each time ( and make an exception ) i try to launch it again, it re analysis ( even if i disable it ) and reblock ...

Any idea ( excepted uninstall my anti virus :p )

PS : Just finished to rework the A B C cycle, each time the anti virus blocks after the first seconds of download the launcher. Then my game is again fully loaded but still not a clue how to launch it ( Windows message ) of course i can't run it as admin ( last message wich is knew i had a Troyan.kd4431441. I will start again about the beginning ...

I had the same problem with Bitdefender after the latest Bitdefender update. You have to go into the Bitdefender Control Panel and under "Protection" manually add the launcher and War64.exe as exempt files.

A guess is that unplaced the game in programs file which windows controls.
I bet it’s write protected again.
If this is the case move the game to c:\ror or something like that and remove write protect again

I had the same problem with Bitdefender after the latest Bitdefender update. You have to go into the Bitdefender Control Panel and under "Protection" manually add the launcher and War64.exe as exempt files.

Even by manually adding the launcher and War64.exe as exempt files, it was always blocking it after 2 minutes. My solution was to remove bit defender for another anti virus
