Having difficulty joining groups. PVE and RVR

As a healer (the class I almost exclusively play) it is significantly easier to perform my function in a group. Admittedly, I have only been playing RoR for a couple of days now, but I recall on live that it was a LOT easier to use the "Join Group" function. So far, out of about 30 attempts, I have not once been able to just "Join Group".

Is it not functioning properly? Do folks not want an additional healer?

I have asked in the Norsca RVR lake on the shout channel, and the LFG channel that I would like to join a group - to no avail. It is boggling to me.

I am on Destro side, my zealot is named Saralla - I don't know why I can't get RvR groups.

What is the proper protocol?

press "L" ; look at the open warbands in tier1 zones (members with levels between 1 and 15) ; join the warband if it has free sposts (less that 24 members).
ps: there's also an advice channel where you can look for help; just use /advice to talk into it, usually people are glad to help new players.

Usually you just hit L (the default button for the "Open parties and Warbands" window), select the "Nearby" tab on the left (if you aren't already on it), hover over the different groups being displayed to find one that is appropriate to your level (in your case, it would have people level 1-15 in it, as you are in t1), and hit the join button on the right.



Note: t1 is a silly place. There isn't always an open warband, and sometimes people are just a) goofing around solo or whatever, or b) with a group of friends that don't need/want additional players. As a result of this, asking for a group in /5 (the LFG channel), or in open chat isn't going to yield any groups.

Oh, that said: You can also make your own (public) groups/warbands. Sometimes people just don't want to be bothered to make their own groups, but will join one if they see a group up (especially one with a healer).
