It's true that a lot of RP/Zealots dont really think about what buff they should give. I've gotten a lot of str or resist buffs while playing a knight or chosen running str and resists.

However if someone is going to blindly give a buff without thinking about it, the initiative buff isnt a bad one to give. Since most people arent running an initiative pot or something, there is less of a risk for you to have competing buffs.

not all rps / zealots, especially young ones, know that the mark/rune does not stack with the potion on the basic stat, but the problem is that a lot of people in a pug group dont wait until zealot / rp puts buffs at all and instead they run ahead somewhere

And this is very bad and resulting grp mates killed by magus or sorc or sham easy. they think ini buff help on healing but resist already give good protect on them

shouldn't a true Tanks already have a maximum cap of resists without rp-zealot*s mark?

ini seems not so useless,
it also is decreasing chance taking crit demage, if believing the description)))

Neither buff is useless. It doesnt really matter if a tank has capped resistances, it would matter if they had capped resistances after being debuffed. Which would be kind of a waste imo, because it's not uncommon to have a resist buff so who waste resources on building that way?

Here is a starting guideline on how to buff. Check if there is a resist buff in group, if there is use ini/WP on tanks, healers and dps with a pot or a mdps getting str somewhere. you can use offensive stats on dps without a pot.

If your group isnt getting resists somewhere else check and see who you are fighting. If they are magic heavy give everyone resists. If they have no real magic damage do the same thing you would do if you had a resist buff. If they have SOME magic damage, it's a judgement call.

SM only can buff spirit resistance and sm can use wounds buff or steal stats instead of this spirit resistance
