[Chosen] Are they still good with 2 handers?

I am about to start playing the game and im trying to make the call. I understand i could roll a dps and go 2 hander i just want to know if it is good at least if i did.

nope they are not. i currently have a chosen with full bloodlord, full sentinel and full invader. i have tried many optimal builds and i have played KOTBS and BO 2handed. Chosens are not even close to good with 2handed. I suppose its a nerf that the devs made some time ago (i did not play chosen back then, i have only heard about that from ingame friends).

Chosens with 2handed deal way 2 low dmg and do not add anything at a grp or warband that a sword and board chosen wouldnt add. Kotbs on the other hand and blackguard add a lot with their aoe debuffs on 2h mode

Sadly chosen was better before some useless changes on it ( daemonfang for example ).

I think thats not realy true about 2h chosen, they can do a lot of dmg. My chosen rr81 full bloodlord with bs axe do alot dmg in sc. I play just for sc 2h chosen, to get the def 1h axe. I wish to have full inv to get the back from bloodlord to mix it with 1item sentinel and sentinel jewellery. With aoedmg aura, st.aura and ressiaura, full off build, -0%be critted. 500-700 crits normaly

No they are not

After the devs decided to for no reason completely change this games design philosophy and say "2h tanks are just dps" and you know not still tanks who have made a trade off for access to a differnt form of utlity...

2H chosen has been garbage, their DPS output is still the worst of all 3 destro tanks even after slapping on full bloodlord and weapons etc

the fact that you even need high tier gear like bloodlord to even remotly see decent dps output is telling of how flawed the spec is

some ppl pick OP class to minmax.
chosen is not that class but still perform well enough.

your skills determine good or bad first, after that class values add up.
player base in this server have wide range of skills.
class balance can be overcame by player skills imo.
good chosen can defeat bad WL.
or end gear chosen can defeat noob gear WL.

at same lvl, team play can overcome class balance.
until you meet minmaxers.

in short, you can play chosen 2h and be good.

Solo chosen is solid due to easy access to resistances, magic damage type + resists debuff, cleave to get through mdps parry/riposte crap, ranged stagger to catch fleeing enemies, etc
in smallscale super punt should be pretty useful for ranged burst comboing with sorc/magus

They may not be dealing as much raw damage as black orc, but they also don't have to deal with armor stacking and have buffs passively at all times...

A good chosen can beat a good WL.

That said, being able to beat a WL 1v1 doesn't automatically make a chosen good.
