followed install instructions still require massive download

i followed install instructions still require massive download. when i boot up launcher as admin and read only removed i have to download a manifest and verify a bunch of art that take 20 mins and then i have to download about 170,000 files that take between 0.5 to 10 seconds each i have been down loading for 3 days and still have 150,000 files remaining. did i miss something or is this the way and i just have grit my teeth?

I strongly recommend you give up on the Installer and use the torrent method detailed here. viewtopic.php?f=4&t=31241&p=353953#p353953

I actually had the same problem with the Torrent a few days ago. Downloaded the entire thing (10.9GB), ran the launcher, and then immediately it began re-downloading everything again via the Launcher.

That happens if the launcher can't find the files (if it's in the wrong folder), the files are locked to read-only, or the torrent is still running.

I've done everything 4 or 5 times now making sure everything is set properly and always get the same results. Used the torrent option to download, etc. All files are on my Desktop, all that. So I'm at a loss.

Restart the launcher, I think I kicked some stuff along just now. 4378 is normal for the first patch after the torrent. When it's done restart it again until it doesn't download any more.

This one says it's 3379 files total, so not sure which set of downloads this is now, but it seems to be a different set at least.
