[DOK] Request: RvR guides

Topic

How to heal effectively with dual wield no chalice as a melee healer. (Im way too squishy). Best stats abilities and skills to focus on.

Ranged healer builds.

Not finding much on YouTube. Id prefer to play the class as a melee who can heal some without constantly being one shot. I end up resorting to range and just throwing heals in t1. Im currently rank 15

The "melee healer" setup is supposedly the SnB, although its pretty much a niche spec (only seen one DoK with a shield so far in about two weeks of playtime) and it seems quite bad in RvR. Here is a somewhat recent discussion about it:

Here is a long thread about DW (DPS) DoK:

And this guide is for the "proper" healer build:

Note that a lot of your debuffs are melee ranged, so even if you use a chalice and build for healing stats, there will be a lot of situations, especially in SCs/small scale fights when you still have the opportunity to engage in close combat and assist your team (just don't expect to do any meaningful damage).

Also healing DoK is quite weak in T1, you will gain your first AoE healing at level 20, and the class really only comes alive once you unlock Khaine's Vigor (AoE HoT) from the Path of Dark Rites talent treee.
