Question about ingame chat

In game I told a joke and was contacted by a staff member who let me know that it was inappropriate, I apologized for it and mentioned I wouldn't do it again. I wouldn't say anything that is obviously against the rules or considered very blatantly offensive(ie. nasty comments, excessive cursing, racism, etc.). And I obviously would want to make sure not to say anything that could get me in trouble or jeopardize my account. Does getting contacted by a staff member affect your account in any way(ie. you get one warning and after that you are banned)? Would this put any kind of demerits or negative marks or something on my account?

Also what about things that are in the grey area(ie. things that aren't objectively offensive such as jokes for instance). I'm asking this because last week I saw some people in game saying you can get in trouble for saying pretty much anything. I wasn't sure if this was true or if they were just joking or exaggerating. I figure it would be best to ask here, since asking people in game, I may not get an accurate answer. I wouldn't want to say something that I thought was harmless but is considered offensive to someone and then get in trouble for it.

Been playing here a long time, its not worth fighting them over and if you are an adult you should be able to keep the shitposting out of game even if you dont agree with what they police and don't. We all have discord nowadays so...

They don't take donations, no p2w, corruption etc... you can do a whole hell of a lot worse when it comes to private server staff than people who zealously keep in game chat PG.

Sometimes it really depends on how people react. The last guy I talked to dove off the deep end into an empty pool. Multiple spam accounts on the forums behind a VPN with trash emails. That was the double perm in-game. He's not coming back. If you had someone just send you a PM, that's probably not getting noted. Warnings will appear in you chat when they're assigned, but there's no way to check yourself afaik.

Easiest thing to do is just be chill and enjoy the game. Every step towards edgelord status just draws attention that isn't healthy for your account.
