Launcher Problem

I have followed to instructions given and lauched the laucher. And I'm seeing UPDATE button. I click it, it loads for a second and nothing happens.
I have disabled my firewall, antivrus and everything. There is nothing on the logs either.

Hello, also dealing with the same problem, i clicked on forum from the application, and got this (I attached it), hopefully this can lead to a solution. It says in short "Access is denied" which i am not sure if its a permission thing locally or a permission trying to connect to the server? I will also toy around as well to maybe get it working, i also disabled my firewall and anti-virus (I use zone alarm for firewall, and AVG for antivirus), but still didnt work...

Access is Denied means you haven't unticked 'Read-Only' in properties, or it's still seeding.

Any solutions on this ? i got the same problem like Anron. i took like a half year break, now when i press the update in the launcher, it goes to 100% in a second, then closes the launcher and nothing happens.

update: Turning off antivirus until u update fixed the problem for me

Right click your folder > properties > uncheck read only.
then right clicl the ror updater >properties > run d administrator

Make sure you're whitelisting your files, as per the Installation guide.

Don’t use the program files area, place it somewhere else like c:\ror\... as windows will write protect this area again, probably on pc restart .

Once you move it remove write protect
