Re: Client download issues and troubleshooting

Hey guys,
I hope someone of you can help me. After getting all 10 parts from the direct links and I'm not able to extract them with 7zip. I have 9 zip datas (each 1gb) and one zipped folder (about 500mb) and when trying to unzip any of them (yes, they are all in the same folder) the error "This data <C:blabla> can not be opened as archive.
So I tried to download the 5 files from mega but it also doesn't work. Even tho I have Mega Addon for Firefox installed. The 5 files were downloaded but not saved, not even in the temp folder of the browser.
So I'm trying the third download of this game now via the Mega Downloader. I really hope you guys can fix your stuff because that is really annoying and in my case you will lose a player if the third download attempt won't work :/

When you go to extract the folder, are you opening "part 1" (in the case of the 10 part download it's the one named with out the number part)?

First of all thanks for the fast reply. But yeah, I'm tried to unzip every data and also the folder (598k kb) which has no number. Always the same error that it can't be opened as an archive.
I also tried to use the windows 8 unzip app and it shows another error "A data carrier can't be used as source and target". No matter which folder or hard disc I take as target.

Have you tried using WinRar? Should have no problem opening the archive with it, and extract to same source and destination.

I have nearly solved the problem and i am so far so i dont want to make some ****: i have 5 different folders: Warhammer Online - Age of Reckoning 1,2,3,4 and 5. shall i do them all into one part like 2,3,4,5 into 1? Right now, when i want to start warpatch it says: "The patch client was unable to retrieve the file patch.prod.sig from the patch server. please try again later" and when i start the game: "The program could not be started because binkw32.dll is missing. Install the program again to solve the problem" so what shall i do? (thats my total last question before i am able to play so please help me only this time again)

@Elven: Strange, Winrar really worked while 7zip and Windows app failed. Thanks for you help Elven. Perhaps mention some advices from here directly at the Download/Join us section after the download step.

So you downloaded the 5 parts of Return of Reckoning? OK, now use WinRar to open the first part. If you've not installed WinRar, you can download it here.

You can extract the entire game to where ever you wish (the desktop is usually a good palce).

Once you've extracted the game, you need to use our Return of Reckoning launcher. Using the official patcher won't work, as it is trying to connect to a dead server.

You can download the launcher here.

You should then be able to play.

an Error occured: System.I.O.FileNotFoundException: The data file "C:/Users/ROR/WAR.exe could not be found
Data name:C:/Users/Peter/Desktop/ROR/WAR.exe
Error.WinlOError:(Int32 Error Code)

Thats what it says everytime. Every of the 5 folders (including the launcher) is inside one folder on the desktop
