Why are Choppas and Slayers nerfed in Cities?
Why are Choppas and Slayers nerfed in Cities?
Especially stage 2. The game won't recognize you as being in combat for their class mechanic to work when attacking the NPC bosses.

Probably can't make it work that they get their rage up without getting morale from lords, not that it's that important anyhow.
Re: Why are Choppas and Slayers nerfed in Cities?
I disagree, is heccing important for the classes to work..!
Re: Why are Choppas and Slayers nerfed in Cities?
Can't have you be ready for a fight by only fighting a npc while the group coming to fight you beeing green.
Re: Why are Choppas and Slayers nerfed in Cities?
What? The whole point of the stage is to defeat the Lords.TreefAM wrote: Sun Sep 06, 2020 3:25 pm Can't have you be ready for a fight by only fighting a npc while the group coming to fight you beeing green.
Also why just target Choppas and Slayers? Disable Sorcs/BWs from building their mechanic too using your logic.
Re: Why are Choppas and Slayers nerfed in Cities?
Sorcs and bws can build their mechanic out of combat, they don't need to hit anything.
Re: Why are Choppas and Slayers nerfed in Cities?
Which according to you is cheating or whatever? You just said Choppas/Slayers shouldn't be allowed to build theirs IN COMBAT than why should Sorcs/BWs - by your logic - be allowed to build it OUTSIDE OF COMBAT in city siege?TreefAM wrote: Sun Sep 06, 2020 4:00 pm Sorcs and bws can build their mechanic out of combat, they don't need to hit anything.
I don't know why you're defending this. There's no logical (or just) reason to just shaft two classes like this.
Re: Why are Choppas and Slayers nerfed in Cities?
Alright in a scenario where your wb is fighting the lord and the other is coming to engage you, both your sorcs and their bws will have more than enough time to be at 100% of their suicide mechanic, while the otherway around you'll have red choppas vs green slayers and and can time a far stronger channel drop when they pop up behind the corner.
Same **** with morale gains on lords.

Re: Why are Choppas and Slayers nerfed in Cities?
The city rules were changed to prevent all NPCs from putting you in combat. This was done because people were absuing this to ensure they started fights with full morale. The downside is that Choppas and Slayers - who's mechanic requires them to be in combat - lose some damage against these NPCs.Oglaf wrote: Sun Sep 06, 2020 3:09 pmEspecially stage 2. The logical reasoning is that the mechanics work differently. The Slayer/Choppa mechanic is designed to only build up in combat as it's a passive gain, where-as the Sorc/BW mechanic is active and the gains are based on using abilities, just like WH/WE and to an extend the BG/IB.Oglaf wrote: Sun Sep 06, 2020 4:24 pmWhich according to you is cheating or whatever? The just reason is that - as I said above - this was a workaround to fix a far bigger issue of starting fights with M4. If you want the mechanic to work then rather than ranting you'll need to come up with a way of having the mechanic build while out of combat and also have a way of stopping it from building and also hope the devs think it's both good enough and enough of a priority to implement.

BW/Sorc should'nt build their power out of combat .. my humble opinion.
