"You Cannot Do That Right Now" ?

" YOU CANNOT DO THAT RIGHT NOW"!

That is the message I get every time I try to speak in public channels such as /advice, t4 and even /s.

Is it a bug or Am I muted? I was able to speak perfectly fine last Thursday, left for the weekend, and came back this week with this problem on my in-game account. It's been over almost a week and nothing has changed.

If it's a bug: What can I do to help you fix it?

If I'm muted: who muted me, what was the justification and why was it done while I was away from the game behind my back?

In addition, the RoR bot for getting Verified in discord isn't working. I followed instructions from viewtopic.php?f=2&t=22044 and no link is sent to me when messaging the bot.

Thank you for your time.

If you were muted while offline, it was in response to a report that was processed by a GM. They're usually short term mutes. If you have a rather extensive history of being sanctioned by the GM staff, these tend to get quite a bit longer as we escalate them.

Thanks for the reply HOWEVER, I have never ever been previously sanctioned by a GM staff before and I've been on this server for over 5 years...

Receiving a 1 week mute ( I'm am guessing it's set for one week??) as a first time, unknown offence without warning, justification, or previous negative record is unacceptable and very disproportionate. I cannot play the game effectively as I cannot communicate/lead with warbands, alliance events, ranked, SCs, Citys, advice chat etc.

Atleast tell me what the conduct was so that I may redress it for the future because to my knowledge I have not done anything to warrant such a punishment. The only thing i can think of is a recent forum post which was a civilized disagreement with a GM, but i highly doubt a polite disagreement with a gm would result in a mute lol.

I shall keep you updated but I would take a look into which GM did this and why for professional reasons.
Thank You xox

I can't imagine such a paragon of the community being censured so drastically. I will escalate this immediately to find you a swift, oh hey a penny.

Looks like you have been muted twice in the past, once for harassing another player during a scenario and again for abusing public chat channels. The current mute was for being vulgar in public channels which based on escalation was assigned as 7 days. I assume it was milk related, as about half of your characters seem to be named as such. Perhaps you loaned your account to someone for the weekend, and they misbehaved on your behalf, not that it changes any action that would be taken against it.

Alas dear paragon, it appears you've failed to obey the rules of the server and you're starting to find out that we are happy to push people towards the light. Enjoy your silence. We certainly will.

Also, the GM that muted you has a pretty long and sketchy history of abuse, I would be careful how loudly you protest and making any insinuation related to it. They might just get offended and abuse you again, rotten bastard there.

Also it was me.

My dear sweet love Wargrimnir, no need to take the taunting or satirical bat to my pretty precious face. We've known each other for a long long time (you were one of the firsts to welcome me in their arms upon joining so forgive me if I have a fairytale crush on you) and I know you and how this unfolds. In other words, I am not seeking to emulate the play of Titus Andronicus but merely willing to correct the wrongs, apologize and move on).

My last and only concern is that it seems that I'm a victim of mistaken identity: A) I have never been muted before (maybe once for 2m as inside joke with a GM?) B) Account guild status shows last time online was many days ago, and I have never loaned out my account. Thus, if you have proof it was online, then someone "hacked" the account and I am changing password as we speak. C) You stated that "I assume it was milk related" which worries me that you saw someone with that keyword and assumed it was me. A lot of people have similar in-game names or keywords and yet they are totally different players with different accounts. Finally, if it was you that muted me while offline, plz PM me in a confidential manner what the vulgarity was so that it may never be repeated in the future ( GMs said it was use of Order pride, MOGA etc type of words??? )

If you have double checked the name of the offender, the offence and linked it to the appropriate account, then I can safely sleep tonight knowing justice was done and take my sound of silence like Antigone and Creo and be on my merry way to face the music of the night.

Sorry, Thanks again and always a pleasure to see an elf and dwarf come to an "understanding". See you in-game xox

PS: Very nice touch your Shakespearean approach, despite the anger and lust in the moment, it put a smile to me face at the end 8-)
PSS: Thank you for the compliment but I consider myself as the Antithesis to that paragon treatment hahaha <3  .
