Could someone explain to me more clearly what is meant by the tooltip on the Bombardment Turret that says "shorten the duration and tick interval of Path of the Grenadier and Tinkerer DoTs by 4% to a maximum of 35%" ??
What would that mean for, say, Signal Flare, which under normal conditions does 1967 damage over 21 seconds? Does that mean this becomes (assuming a 35% reduction is applied) 1967 damage over 13.65 seconds?
Also, would "Phosphorous Shells" be considered a DoT (and therefore be included with this benefit), considering it's 4 shots over 6 seconds?
I've been sticking with the Gun Turret for a while (unless in close quarters) because I've found the distance bonus to be very helpful. (I'd been frustrated by being unable to reach targets on walls, including oil, during keep-takes.) But now I'm thinking I've been missing-out on some faster damage.

Ah, sorry, wasn't watching which skill I chose as an example carefully enough. But not Phosphorous Shells, eh, even though that's a tactic from Grenadier?
And it is saying it "speeds up" the damage / shortens how long it takes the entire DoT to complete, right? But you still have the standard cool-down, right?
Hmmm... I may have to look at Friction Burn again. I have a tendency to think of it as being only a "very close range" sort of thing.
