Try re-extracting/downloading the game again.

then its just character selection without create button and without any chars, even so i know there are chars on that account

had one version of 1.4.8 from mythic times, which worked, then this happend, downloaded it via torrent, but it did not change anything

edit: fresh checkout over night, problem still occouring, the folder, and only the folder is readonly, but its sticky readonly, no matter how often i remove it and if i remove it with the explorer or with the attrib command its never gone

due to torrent did not work i tried the direct download

its not a bugged account i cant load any further then with a fresh created account
i did rebuild and made a custom windows firewall rule to leave ror alone
nothing did help,

maybe its better this way,
i was quite addicted to warhammer back in the day

Can you try downloading this and putting it into your WAR folder?

i did, it has a different size then the one i had in the folder
yet i still have no character selection

it finally worked,
i used an old version i just found from back in the day at mythic, that worked with the launcherm i dont know if the torrent and direct downloads are generally bugged or just not working for me, but im very happy that i made it work,
i still get the error i posted earlier but now i can connect to the server and play my toons
