Game launch and crashes after 10sec

Hello,
I'm back for years and tried to play on my new PC.
I followed every instructions and game launch correctly.
However after a few seconds in game, it makes a strange noise and finaly crash.
I didnt find any info on forum, any idea ?

Edit: strange thing is it only crash when i play my order characters, works fine the other side

Have you installed DX9?

I have the same issue on my squigherder. It sounds like the sound is completely broken like robot sounds and stuff and then it just crashes. I can play other chars just fine.

Just tried disabling all sounds, this stopped my squigherder from crashing. The sounds that make me crash seems to come from pvp, as soon as I get close to pvp I get weird sounds and I crash.

whats the size of your audio.myp and vo_english.myp if you are using english language in the client

Sizes are as follows:

1 369 005 KB for audio.myp
827 564 KB for vo_english.myp

ok, sizes look fine. doesn't seem to be issue with those... try reinstalling directx9 just in case.

also just in case check every step here, maybe some permissions or antivirus or whatever are doing something weird with the files and blocking them mid game.

How to Install:

+ Stop your Torrent from seeding (close it, maybe check your task manager)

+ Move the Warhammer Online - Return of Reckoning outside the ReturnofReckoning-March2020 folder and move it to c:\ ... for instance move it to c:\Games
(but **NOT** inside c:\ Program Files or c:\ Program Files (x86); it should be in a folder which it have write access)

+ Remove the write-protection from all the files in the Warhammer Online - Return of Reckoning folder.
(right click on the War Online - RoR folder > properties > disable the read-only box)

+ Check that your whole Warhammer Online - Return of Reckoning folder is whitelisted in your Antivirus program and check if your Firewall or Maleware doesn't interfere with the install.

+ You may also try running the launcher with Administrator privileges.
(Right click on the RoRLauncher.exe > properties > run administrator)

+ Run the RoRLauncher.exe
+ Let it update (sometimes it needs a few seconds until it starts)
+ Exit launcher and rerun it again
+ Repeat the last 2-steps until there is no update left
+ Launch the game

!!! [If you don't have DirectX 9.0c, installed it is required, and now this is also included in the torrent. In the ReturnOfReckoning-March2020 folder find the dx90c folder, open that and run DXSETUP.exe]


edit: few other suggestions would be to clean up your cache folder from the RoR directory.. just delete everything from cache folder. it will be regenerated again if you start the game. and last thing would be to try run repair from the launcher gog wheel option

I had already done everything suggested above except from deleting the cache folder which I have now also tried without any help.
Tested some more and the issue does not seem to be connected to sound or what character I play. It does appear to happen on all my characters with or without sound enabled but only in certain areas of the game.
I can run around and pve to my hearts content but when I leave the destro WC in nordland I crash as soon as I get close to one of the BO's.

I suspect the issue lies in my Warhammer folder having old files from last time i played in it.
The download of this game takes ages so I was hoping I could avoid a full re download but it seems my only option now.
I'll try that and in a fresh folder to see if that helps.

Not sure if there's an issue with the servers right now but I'm getting "could not download file from server. (War-64.exe)" on my fresh install in the launcher.
What I did:
1: Downloaded torrent.
2: Stopped seeding torrent.
3: Moved the "Warhammer Online - Return of Reckoning" to a folder of its own in the root on my harddrive.
4: Removed write protection on the "Warhammer Online - Return of Reckoning" folder and all of its subfolders.
5: Ran "RoRLauncher" with admin privledges.
