Hi all, first time post, and I appreciate this is an issue which has potentially been resolved. I picked up a new copy of WAR abroad (sealed, all the inserts etc), and have installed the launcher, but I get the authentication failed error. Might it be because I can't authenticate the game with EA any more? ANy suggestions as to how I can resolve this and get started playing? Thanks!

This is not the same game that EA/Mythic was working on. Download from this site, along with the launcher and follow all of the instructions. There are several pages. Good luck.

First time installing/running tonight. Same issue out the gate. Used the Mega download, and ran from RoRlauncher.exe as admin etc.

Win 8.1 x64

Let me know if I can be of assistance in figuring it out. Logs, etc...

Try running as Administrator (Right click run as admin). Or if all else fails, move the directory from c:\ to something like c:\users\public\games\

Same issue as well, tried on two different comps now as well- one running Win 7 and one Win 8.
On each the game DID work the first time...after logging out I could never log in again. have repeatedly tried every solution offered with no luck
