If you refuse to play the game in a way that allows you to succeed, you shouldn't be surprised when you fail. Stop trying to run premade SCs when you are undergeared and on the low end of your tier and start joining WBs in RvR. Almost everyone with a high level toon also has alts that all start at lvl 1 just like new players, I doubt most of us are stuck in camp 90% of the time when leveling them.elchooki wrote: Fri May 21, 2021 2:06 pm It's not a question of parity, but of just being able to play. Because in my opinion, being stuck 90% of the time at your camp is not the game.

If you are getting rolled over in T2 just wait until you’re 40/40, then you’ll really understand what getting rolled over feels like

Dying is no option.
Re: Don't want new players?
As someone who has levelled multiple characters under the current bolster system, I think the only thing that is truly lacking there for new players is an explanation of the bolster system and maybe what is an "optimal path" under it.
In general it goes something (roughly) like this:
T1: Do what you want but find a way to save up some $$$ b/c you are going to need to buy some extra gear once you hit T2 to avoid the initial shock.
T2: 16-20 is painful but doesn't take too long to get through it. Just fill in the gaps in your gear with greens and find your best ability in that range and spam the heck out of it.
T2: 21-32 keep your greens up and you'll do fine. You aren't going to set the world on fire but outside of mdps you are actually somewhat functional and can contribute. Try to get your RR level about 7-10 levels about your XP level at this point.
T2: 33-36 kind of a dead zone while you working on merc gear. Do your best or grind through it and make some money.
T2: 36-39 you should have merc gear (or other farmed lowbie sets) and feel somewhat decent through this range.
T2: 40/40 Congrats you have made it up the first hill. BTW, you are going to suck for a while until you at least get Conq gear and won't feel good until you get Vanquisher. But, hey, there is still fun to be had.
T2: 40/60 Start to notice all your classe's flaws compared to other geared characters but not sure if they are actually flaws or just a gear difference.
T2: 40/80 You have made it to the top of the second hill. You probably won't have all the gear you need at this point to be top dog (unless you are in a tight guild that carried you) but still you can sort of compete with the big boys on equal footing now.
T2: 40/80+ City Grind and FashionHammer. The latter of which is true endgame.

Re: Don't want new players?
At first, T2-T3 can be hard for new players. But don't forget this is a team game (but I supposed you are not playing alone) : many beginners tend to forget it.
I don't know if you already read them, but you can find some resources on the forum, in the Beginner survival kit section :

Re: Don't want new players?
Once you skip tier 1 aka 1-16 bracket go finish the first city dungeons, you can do it at lvl 17 and it will give you a great 5piece gear set that is going to carry you until 30, you will never feel weak

What about us SOLO players? **** this "group game lalalala" mantra. That **** isn't working anymore. It belongs in the past. Solo activities should always be viable. And they aren't right now, oh lol, they aren't and a half!CyunUnderis wrote: Fri May 21, 2021 4:01 pm At first, T2-T3 can be hard for new players. Re: Don't want new players?
Thank you for the constructive answers and information.
for others it is astonishing to see you justify an unpleasant experience by a "wait and see at a higher level, it will be worse", "the system is like that, use it as it is" or "you must follow such and such a path, otherwise do not be surprised "
Fortunately, the ROR team does not think like that otherwise no innovation would have seen the light of day. I imagine none of you have done an exploratory study on this. In fact, our feelings are therefore at the same level as yours. Each therefore has its own truth until proven guilty. And I doubt there are only 5 of us feeling that way.
